The infinite growth model is one of the worst things to happen to journalism/media. At some point you reach the ceiling of people who want to read your magazine! You can just make enough money to pay people well and publish things and not grow forever!

Oh I guess I fronted for the battle pass too. Either way, I spent like less than $20. Regardless, I feel like if I engage with the game and take my teams into Ranked, I can work up to getting a new pkmn or buying and item, or training pretty quickly.

I broke my rule with not transferring Pokemon from other games into Champions.

HOWEVER. I'm kind of surprised how you can get some pretty good mons from the gacha mechanic. I ended up 85% of the way there for multiple meta teams after like a week of playing and only spending $ for the starter pack
