I’m back for little bit because I need to ask for help.
Saipan, where I live, was hit by a super typhoon last week. My family and I are doing ok, but many people here aren’t.
I want to do a TTRPG charity bundle to raise funds for one of the non-profits bringing supplies here.
DM if interested.

Watching Late Night with the Devil. I won't say it's groundbreaking, but it's hitting all the right beats at the right time in the right way. Entertaining, so far. Also nice to see a different angle on found footage horror.
The Mouse: We now produce a bajillion gigabytes of power a second.
The Public: Nice! So we're going to use that to power the cities' -
The Mouse: Yes, the cities' Theme parks, of course! HuhHA!
George Carlin made this point, but I might take the more extreme position that there is no incorruptable system that can guard your rights, and rights only exist insofar as you are willing to fight for them.
So, you'll die for your love, huh? That's cool. But will you do paperwork for them?
Re: Chrono Trigger and how batshit the Melchior situation is.
Queen Zeal: Arrest Melchior...
Guard: Yes, malady.
Zeal: And imprison him on top of the highest mountain...
Guard: Of course.
Zeal: and encase him in ice...
Guard: Y- yes? M'lady?
Zeal: and guard him with a giant monster.
Guard: ... ...
So much in 90s cartoons got past the censors that I half wonder if the censors were in on it.
I actually never listened to much Prince, but that didn't stop me from appreciating this Animaniacs joke:
Screenshot from Mastodon, white text on black background: Erik Uden @ErikUden@mastodon.de Once libraries are nonexistent any modern fascist movement wouldn't even have to burn books, but flick one switch and they'd be remotely deleted from your Amazon Kindle or similar digital "library". Capitalists are already building the infrastructure to do this through DRM, so stop believing tech is apolitical - the defunding of libraries and paywalling of information are all part of this.
A reminder during #NationalLibraryWeek, libraries are our best and last defense against the fascist monopoly on knowledge and information
Rough beats. It's like the deck knows...
I rushed into Vakuu energy for giving him first born turn before checking the act boss and I saw Doormaker there at the end and I was poopin' diamonds until after that first exhaust round.
Slay the Spire 2 nonsense: Just cleared A9 with all characters. Ironclad and Silent died a tremendous number of times, but all that failure laid the groundwork for smooth sailing on the rest of them. Just took a couple tries each to get back into that character's play style. A10, here I come...
As far as I'm aware, but I'm willing to be corrected on the point.
To be sure, it really can be hard to tell sometimes.
A grey blue washed image of a bearded young ish white guy looking into the mirror all serious with his palm pressed against it. A serif font title reads: DID I JUST ARGUE WITH A JOKE? A semi opaque navy snoot near the bottom bears the bluesky logo and the text PART OF A BLUESKY EDUCATIONAL SERIES
I don't know how to describe this. Its a very this blood orange colored carrot with an ess curve about 3 quarters of the way up and a bulbous top

A lot I like here in San Diego, but I am finding California at large has a particular hide-bound bureaucracy lurking just out of sight. It works very well, until it doesn't, and when it doesn't, hoo boy, you got ~problems~.
🧵 New post: "How MAHA Fucked Up My Surgery"
I was catheterized by 2 new graduate nurses (one of whom had never done the procedure on a patient before), using incorrect technique, without adequate pain control, after a delay that doubled my volume past the hospital's own intervention threshold
Nnnneat.
The First WORLD FENCING LEAGUE is happening April 25th!!! I'M GEEKING!!!
Japanese engineers developed this "Sword Tip Visualisation" tracking technology specifically for this event that will make it so much easier for the average person to see what's going on!
I MUST WATCH THIS ENTIRE TOURNAMENT
Slay the Spire 2 nonsense: A9 Necrobinder get. Highlight of the run was Spectral Knight shrinking my deck to 4 cards and still winning with End of Days. It was an apt ending to that fight, really. Brightest Flame's drawback sounds bad until you remember you're never at max hp, anyways, so...
Establishing care for those with disabilities in the USofA medical industry's referal system is a special kind of horror that is really difficult to convey.
Slay the Spire 2 nonsense: A9 Regent get, mostly off the back of duplicating my deck with the Reflections event, getting two Tyrannies and a Mayhem, chucking three Bombardments at Test Subject, and finishing him off with a 100+ damage Crescent Spear. Makes up for a lot of past oofs.
Slay the Spire 2 nonsense: A9 Silent get. I feel like I'm getting the hang of things. Learning even a superficial level of enemy attack patterns helped so much to make Silent click. Now, it's time for Regent. I guess.
Slay the Spire 2 nonsense: another run lost by one turn in the last A9 Silent boss. Both of them come down to, for sure, a single mistake that spiraled out of control. Makes me wonder how many other errors are hiding under the hood to make that one matter so much.
We sentence you to death... by snu snu!
The first few episodes of Futurama are just ok. The Urectum joke marks the point where it starts getting amazing.
Incidentally, I'm usually not too broken up about spoilers, because most stories are about the delivery, not necessarily the content. In these cases, though, I can sense expectations may have poisoned the well a bit. Longlegs, especially.
Only just learned that Weapons (like Longlegs) had an ARG for its marketing and I am both pleased to see marketers doing cool stuff like that and super glad I didn't learn about either movie through their ARGs. There's something about them that hits way harder, I think, going in blind.
I would love for there to be a study done to see how much overlap there is between people who love to play very difficult games and people who are into edge/denial play. Was just a thought I had for no particular (Slay the Spire 2) reason.
