I don’t have time to do as many conference talks these days but @cssday.nl always has a special place in my heart. It’s such a fantastic conference, both for the content and the community. If you can go, don’t miss it!
My career highlight was getting to talk at CSS Day a few years ago, so I'm so excited to be heading back this year, alongside so many other great speakers.
So happy to be back on the CSS Day stage this June with so many other fantastic speakers. And I can't wait to show what I've been working on the last year or two. Yes it will be about Doom, Lasers and CSS, and so much more. ✨
I do feel I've hit peak talk title with "CSS Doom Laser".
Also, we announce new speakers today. @kevinpowell.co Lea Verou, @matuzo.at and @html5test.com will join us on 11th and 12th of June.
No flamethrowers will be used. Probably.

Writing a CSS Day newsletter about flamethrowers and doom lasers. We must address the legitimate concerns of our audience.
Four pairs of eyes. We cannot possibly comment on whose eyes they are.

I'll take a look later this week.
Officially I'll pretend this is the intended layout!
It is rather constructivisic, I admit.
Which browser/device?
At 100 attendees! And the best part of the conference is the people you meet, the community you're steeped in. (Or words to that effect.)

- and @nerdy.dev (CSS)

Some people collect stamps; we at CSS Day collect browser vendors. We already announced Vivaldi and Ladybird; today we add Google and Microsoft.

This allows our attendees to complain efficiently about CSS problems in many browsers at once
In case you missed it yesterday, here's @amitsheen.bsky.social building a computer with CSS.

... and our next 2025 video is up ...
Clearly, CSS conferences are a thing of the past as well.
To get in the #cssday mood, here's @utilitybend.com 's talk from last year:

So we sent out the mailing yesterday, and where we expected to sell about 30-35 of the early-bird tickets, we sold all of them plus a few regular ones!
So no more early-bird tickets, we're afraid.
Hey pssssttt .. want some speakers ... ?

We started publishing the #cssday 2025 talks, one each Wednesday for the next 12 weeks.
Today: Cyd Stumpel

A final short wait is required. We have to fold the tickets properly before selling them.
CSS Day is returning! cssday.nl
We will open #cssday ticket sales this month. Early-bird tickets will be announced first via our newsletter cssday.nl/subscribe; subscribe for the most affordable prices.
"There, what do you think?"
...
"What do you mean 'all right'? It was a brilliant bit of announcement!"
...
"That's because you're not a consummate professional."
...
"OK. Well, see you next week."
...
"Well, I'll do more announcements next week, right?"
-
"... right?"
CSS Day, 11th and 12th of June, just announced @brucel.bsky.social and @ohhelloana.blog as their 2026 MCs.

"Wait, what? They announced the MCs? I thought I was going to be ..."
...
"Right. Well, maybe next year."
...
"Announce them right now? But ... but ... that '://' is always hell on my throat, and I'm not feeling ..."
...
"Them? I though you would pay me. OK, fine, you convinced me. Here it goes:"
"Welcome to ... what was the name again?"
...
"But it's two days, right?"
...
"Right. Ahem.
Welcome to CSS Day-for-historical-reasons."
...
"Not?"
...
"Fine, fine. That's why we practice. Behind the scenes they're comically unready anyway. We have plenty of time."
