This site isn’t run by the government. They report on all reported shootings (you can even find single injury or suicides). I use it to look up info in my area or when a story hits MSM to get a local incident report.

Not all of them. 8 children died, 1 child was injured, 2 women were injured, and at least two families have been upended.

Generally speaking, it is meant to protect the victims. By identifying the relationship to the shooter, anyone knowing the family can easily identify all of the victims.

Family violence *does* occur in other countries, just usually not with guns so large family annihilators are rare. But honor killings, revenge attacks, and even two school shootings recently in Turkey in one week show it isn’t solely American.
Though I do agree we are doing it wrong.
