I read Brokeback Mountain and went through so many emotions in the span of 50 something pages and at the end of it all wanted to cry. I very quickly went back to reading Role Model to try and feel less miserable and sad

I wish I had a better way to describe the emotions I feel when reading it. I feel like a part of me needs it though, even if I am trying to escape and ignore how I feel, being brought face to face with it and forced to confront what is causing me to feel even worse than usual is a necessity of sorts

I’ve really been loving The Long Game but holy shit has it felt tough reading about Ilya’s depression when I’ve been so unbelievably out of it. It feels weird to read about a character who feels the exact way I do, to see my own thoughts and feelings laid out before me without me needing to write it
