Oh the irony of signing up for a 3 week anxiety management workshop, attending week one, and being completely unable to locate the meeting link for the second week's class leading to a lot of unnecessary anxiety.

I have so much acrylic yarn I think I may just crochet up a bunch of home wares and accessories to give away or sell for cheap. Coasters, bag charms, bananas, headbands etc. Just keep my brain occupied and off my phone.

Sooooo here's a thing that has been in the works for some time that I haven't been able to talk about. Some of the other Hard Drive writers and I got together and created a new satire site.

Please read, share, enjoy. We've got some very talented writers working hard on this.

Harmony 24 (then): “The largest animation and gaming studios from around the world choose Harmony to produce the highest quality animation, setting the standard for creative storytelling. Our all in one, end to end 2D animation software allows animators to create paperless and cut-out animation in every style.”

Harmony 25 (now): “See why the most ambitious 2D productions around the world choose Harmony. Having an all-in-one animation solution allows artists in studios to collaborate using the same programs and project files, from drawing roughs to rigging characters and compositing. Whether you work with hand drawn animation or character rigs, Harmony gives artists everything you need to animate with style.”

Is it better? Let’s go through my rubric. What is this? An all-in-one animation solution. Who’s it for? Studios around the world working on ambitious 2D productions. What does it do? Supports paperless and cut-out animation from rough animation to character rigs, and compositing. Why do I need it? All of your artists can collaborate using the same programs and project files. The old version leaves some of these questions with incomplete answers.

Wrote a post on LinkedIn about my approach to updating Toon Boom Animation's product descriptions from the launch of Harmony & Storyboard Pro 25.

TLDR: It's not enough to tell users about new features if you don't do the work to understand the problems it solves.

A couple more fiber projects I recently finished! Next I need to work on a Mother's Day gift and find a some stash busting projects.

I'm taking a 2D animation course with Animation Mentor right now too to better understand Harmony and get back into the groove, so I may also have some animation to show off (eventually, we're still in the ball bounce/fundamentals stage of everything).
