should take responsibility and ownership of their maths book. A downside to this is the books can look scruffy around the edges. I agree with you about thinking it is important that the students are proud of their books. Taking EOY exams out of books will make them less unwieldy. Y11 books are huge!

books and so insist they take them home, complete homework, use them for revision. We are perhaps one of a few departments who do this but I don’t feel comfortable with the students keeping their books in the classroom. I understand the logistical reasons why but I believe students, where they can,

It’s really really helpful. So kind of you to go to so much trouble and film it. We’re on the journey with treasury tagging but I think the A4+ size may make a difference. Do your students take their books home after every lesson? We think it is important that the students take ownership of their

Thank you so much. That’s brilliant withthe treasury tags. I think the A4+ books are much better. And I love the double margins. This must ensure the students make good use of each page. We work in columns but with A4 books, it can get a little restrictive. Thank you again for the video. It’s fab!

Thank you. Where are the folders kept? Do students bring them in and out of school with their exercise books? Do they need help with their folders and ordering?

Thank you. We don’t have A4+ books. Perhaps this is the difference? Our books in year 11 can become unwieldy once assessments and feedback are treasury tagged in.

Thanks Mel. Will all the sheets fit into the sleeve? Are you concerned about the ordering of the sheets?

Thank you Matt. Do they bring in their little red exercise books in, or do they something forget as they can always rely on the big A4+ books being at school?

Thanks Jo. How do you set up the treasury tags so they work well for the children? We have adopted a totally no glue philosophy with all tagging in but books are unwieldy in year 11 with tests and feedback clogging up the books. Our books are A4 and we don’t generally trim the sheets. Some are messy

What’s everyone’s experience of students managing their maths exercise books? Loose worksheets are a problem. We’ve tried gluing in but then it can get costly. We’re currently trialing hole punching books and using treasury tags but students struggle with the dexterity needed & organisation. Ideas?

Thank you for replying. Plans are for several subjects to use it. We’ve limited access at the moment and cannot see the dashboard until fully paid up.

Thank you for getting back in touch. We use Integral for further maths. UpLearn would be for other subjects too in school.

Does anyone have any experience of using UpLearn at A level Maths? It’s a it a worthwhile purchase? Do you use it for intervention or independent learning?
