I submitted a talk to the 38th annual @first.org conference about how to speed up digital forensics in Ransomware cases significantly, allowing victim companies to revover as fast as possible while still finding out what happened. It got rejected, unfortunately 🤷. Maybe next time 😏

that'll take some time I'm afraid 😅
A Screenshot of the Tracewrangler application window showing a pcap file loaded with it's meta information in the lower right pane. A "Anonymize Files" task is assigned and pending to run.
Just released a new version of Tracewrangler at www.tracewrangler.com. Some minor bug fixes, and it can now read & write Linux Cooked Capture v2 headers, so those kind of #pcap files can now be sanitized as well. Not a big thing, but I'm slowly getting into coding again it seems...
I'm not Wireshark developer, my C skills are too bad for that 😅
But thanks for mentioning Tracewrangler ☺️
Namensschild Test Run? 😜👍

My team had an encounter in a recent #DFIR situation where we saw a #CobaltStrike feature in use by the perpetrators we hadn't seen before: "sleep mask", which obfuscates memory content while the beacon is inactive, making #Yara signatures come up empty. Blog post here:
