We live in a world where greedy bullies with big sticks win. Only bigger sticks will stop them

We must act against such greed. In a society of a few hundred people, anyone that selfish and greedy would be negatively sanctioned.
100% Pip.
And our major media seem completely limp and cucked. Sleepwalk through the Overton window, leaving it open for an avaricious breeze. Brace brace brace
I too am gleeful with optimism, she’ll be right. Luckily I can walk to work.
A simple car, so simpler to maintain. I’ve had modern Merc and V dubs, and the little MG3 is 85% as good as them, if less flash. It’s not quite as nice for an 8 hours long drive, the engine has to rev a bit to get power up the hills. I still jump in and think oh I do like this car
Is it left or right ear to indicate he’s married? He’s now a handsome and pretty cat
Mine’s in 11 year-old MG3, manual. It has behaved perfectly, no problems. No rust developing. I was, and remain, surprisingly impressed. It even has cruise control.
Making profit is a privilege, not a right. That’s where we’ve gone wrong
I’m hoping to see a shift away from greed as an aspiration. We should look at wealth hoarders as mentally ill greedy pricks.
Screenshot from the linked article, which reads: “The cumulative record is damning. Over the course of little more than two years, the Luxon coalition has timed legislation to kill tribunal hearings mid-inquiry; introduced bills the day after losing in court; overridden the first-ever judicial enforcement of three decades of freshwater protection law; retroactively voided customary rights that had been lawfully recognised; reinstated a sentencing regime found to breach fundamental human rights guarantees; and legislated away a High Court ruling protecting sick and injured New Zealanders from unlawful government debt recovery.”
A useful piece, reminding us how NZ’s government has consistently failed to respect the judgments of the courts, and opted to legislate away the decisions they don’t like.

After the White House complained about an unflattering photo of Karoline Leavitt, it was removed from AFP and Getty’s systems. This is the photo in question. Please do not repost it. 👇
Post from mileswildermusic reads:
"Some of y'all will never understand the grief of just how close we truly have been for the last 70 years to solving some of the biggest problems in the world and then just consistently choosing to prioritize the very special little feelings of the worst among us...
It’s all about greed, theft and thuggery. Whoever got the biggest guns appears to win regardless of ethics, morality, or human decency. Bullies dominate.
It is absolute psychotic greed, ego wayyyyy off the charts. Scale it down to 500 people, and the same disproportionate wealth held by few would not happen. Society cannot overwhelm today’s billionaires because they own the tools of control and violence held by the state.

Government should never be run like a business because: the business of BUSINESS is to create PROFITS for the FEW. The Government is to create opportunity for the MANY.
*gasps*
That.
From John Waters.
I would spontaneously combust if he said that about me.
And having listened, I should I should say “well pluck my feathers…”
Bloody hell, it really was a wild guess, I thought I was being facetious. Well fancy that, all good wishes for fun music.
I see a good housekeeping award in your future
That’s clearly the Hurdy of a hurdy-gurdy.
If you put an N 95 mask on the end of your exhaust pipe, it will keep more of the fuel back at the engine and increase your efficiency.
It’ll be my first time voting at the next AGM, really happy to have some pointers so we avoid being captured by those serving a greedy right wing elite.
Iran: so we have renamed it the straight of Trump. But Donnie you still can’t go there.
It’s the helplessness. Here in NZ we can feel a creeping threat, but seem powerless against media and corporate and government cooperation that oppresses the people. The cruelty of the greedy people leaves us baffled, cognitive dissonance, loss of trust, and viscerally exhausted. All strength.
For sure, we feel the shadow creeping like a slow motion train wreck through the narratives in New Zealand as well.
I’ve just joined Internet NZ so I can vote at their AGM and deflect a strategised right wing effort to take the organisation over. I encourage you to do the same. Small individual daily actions are needed, we must rescue ourselves from this US driven right wing onslaught in New Zealand.
It was about a week I remember
