I often hear covers of The Beatles' "Let it be" construed to have a religious tone. For the record "Mary" was Paul McCartney's mother, not the mother of the fictional character "Jesus". The song is about a dream McCartney had in which his mother Mary came to him and said all will be OK, let it be.

I always have a little chuckle when I'm standing in a beautiful forest and someone comes up to me and says "Have you seen anything good today?"

To be a racist is to erase your own humanity.

Another fine mixed seed and sweet potato damper. So quick and easy to make and so tasty. Self raising flour, salt, water, seeds and purΓ©ed sweet potato. There’s endless variations you can do of this simple wholesome bread.

I was running out of letters. I certainly have them going - alfalfa, red clover and broccoli. If things get bad (and they well might) and greens are hard to get these, a product called "Vital Greens" and wild crafting greens will get me through.

Done. My wholefood vegan kitchen now has 4 months supply which I've stocked up over 6 weeks. Grains, beans, nuts, seeds spices, polenta, semolina, flours, dals, dried fruit, canned goods, home canned fruit. I'm a scratch cook and also know how to wildcraft greens and roots. I'm ready/prep'd.

Go vegan for the Earth and all species, for your health and for global food justice.

Mark Zuckerberg's new 87.5 metre yacht with helipad and four massive diesel engines. This isn't wealth or a healthy aspiration, this is a terrible illness. I actually cried for him when I saw this.

"Growth" is shrinking. It's shrinking the living world. It's shrinking our lives. It's shrinking our futures, it's shrinking our possibilities and it's shrinking our humanity. We must explore economies and systems based on a planet where there's space for all species, for need, not "wants".

As a field ornithologist and nature educator who has banded hundreds of birds I would like to say we need to stop this. We need to stop opening them up and putting GPS trackers in them. What more do good hearted, right headed people need to know to conserve them and be in awe and wonder at them?

Complacency is also a choice and this has been well milked by the powerful and a drink we have all supped from whilst enjoying our bread and circuses.

Mark Zuckerberg is seriously ill. Dr Ricki prescribes a wholefood vegan diet, early rising, journalling and daily walks alone in a forest with a pair of binoculars and a magnifying glass.

Stop justifying genocide and hate. You're part of the problem and I'm done with you.

When I consider all I've seen over the last 60 of my almost 68 years, we need to own all that's about to drop on us.

We could have chosen respect for all species, dignity for every human, a thriving Earth and systems and lives and know-how which supported all this. We chose lies and greed instead.

How is life for LGBTQ+ people in the US? Stop making excuses for genocide.

Indeed. These figures probably apply fairly accurately globally. I'm for manufacturing which takes responsibility for every aspect of the supply chain and design and manufacture and the life of everything we make. i.e. cars should be modular with all parts swap-able and recyclable.

It requires around .75 of a tonnes of coal to make the steel for the average car in China. In China they create around 2 tonnes of CO2 to manufacture 1 tonne of steel. In 2025 alone China made 34.53 million cars and at least 4 million trucks each year. We're not going to tech our way out of this.

Unfortunately, Trump and his minions don't care, wont listen, will continue to deny, continue to lie, do what they do and never leave peacefully.

I've dreamed about this for decades. When it finally started to become real I understood that there are many paths to realising this dream. The thing to do is start now. Do not delay. You can rent land, you can build with the earth, there are so many ways.

@albomp.bsky.social should not cut the fuel excise. The price is currently right for the supply situation. If the price is cut, antisocial types will rush out with jerry cans and deplete our supply.

What injures these "far right influencers" so badly in their childhood that they can't release their angry entitlement, their sadism and hatred for all life on earth?

Reposting even though Melville (or his character) made the mistake of believing that the only measure of intelligence is human intelligence and was also unaware of the extraordinarily gentle behaviours also exhibited by whales and more often lacking among humans. Just sayin'.

Agreed. I'd add the Quad to that list or at least chuck the US out of it.

Would that be the same Angus Taylor who embarrassed our nation earlier in the week with a christianist, racist rant in our parliament in front of the European Union President? Wasn't he also around during Morrison's Fires in 2019?
