Not me giving the side-eye to every single arts organization putting on a 250th program this year because I know what bullshit anti-diversity statement they signed in order to be eligible for NEA funding.

You should be embarrassed to be a member of congress and issuing anything other than impeachment resolutions. You're in the model UN. They should give you legos and a propeller hat
Well maybe that’s why they got it so wrong!
Also rooting through my ruta-bogga ruins the internal rhyme with raiding my arugula. 👎
There is a special weirdness watching a British production of a musical you know well, especially when they use the British pronounciation of rutabaga.
Also a delight? Watching someone get absolutely hung up on a Sondheim time signature within full view of the exasperated conductor.

Pro tip: don’t listen to Mike Schur explaining his naming conventions while riding in the Quiet Car.
Joan, out of nowhere unprompted: “where would Broadway be without Jews?”
A dog is barking in the Acela quiet car. I am looking forward to the quiet car attempting to enforce library voices on a dog.
My personal video algorithms keep feeding me content from The West Wing and honestly yes please.

It’s been over five years since I regularly rode the NE corridor to the north of NYC. The coastline scenery remains unparalleled and the accents ah dropping ahs everywheyah.
On HS French exchange trip, student who was notorious for being late was in fact late meeting the bus from the Musée D’Orsay and it meant we couldn’t go up the Eiffel Tower. I was livid, I’ve never forgotten it, and every time I see the Eiffel Tower in a photo I think about it. This was in 1997.
If I were the panty-throwing type, I’d sling ‘em straight at Joshua Henry at the curtain call of Ragtime.

Once again, here we are watching a pivotal Friday Night baseball game on…Apple TV
Going to my first Jain prarthna sabha (memorial service) and I’m just so grateful to have a diverse group of friends. I made one phone call and feel way more prepared than an hour’s worth of googling would do.
Hot take: I don’t think baseball should be allowed to be on AppleTV
I had to google two words from this episode of The Gilded Age and I’m not ashamed by that (DEMIMONDAINES and PARVENU). Please keep in mind that I do speak medium French. It did not help.
I went to Rockaway beach yesterday with friends, and took the subway from my apartment on the UWS. Grabbed my backpack beach chair and an ice pack and just trekked out. Each way was about an hour and 40 minutes or so (two train transfers included.) It’s magical that I can get to a beach for $2.90.
The way that I was raised, being Jewish meant believing that every human life was sacred; to save a single human life meant saving all of humanity. That no law or ritual was more important than saving a single human life.
It's unfathomable that any Jew can accept what Israel is doing in Gaza.
Those women love each other and are truly trying to make sure everyone succeeds. You saw it with Sabrina giving half her winnings to Sonia. There are clips of Kelsey Plum in practice giving pointers to Paige Bueckers. Cathy and Adam have no real idea what they’re up against. Peace to the WNBPA.
Mamdani: "I've already had to start get used to the fact that the president will talk about how I look, how I sound, where I'm from, ultimately bc he wants to distract from what I'm fighting for. I'm fighting for the the very working people he ran a campaign to empower that he has since betrayed."
Thank you Brad! Shabbat shalom 💜
Shabbat Shalom to everyone who recognizes that the safety, freedom & thriving of Jews and Muslims are bound up together — in Israel & Palestine, across the five boroughs, and in many other beloved places.
Lander: "It's just gross, racist bigotry. Meanwhile he's running an optimistic, upbeat campaign for a NY where everybody belongs, and I feel proud as the highest-ranking Jewish elected official in NYC to be supporting somebody who would be the first Muslim mayor—what could be more NYC than that?"
