What if we stopped having unnuanced convos about abuse and started talking about power and structural inequalities in all their forms?

An old poem of mine for TDOV, "visibility was never our problem".
Couldn't decide if this still stands when they're trying to erase us but many of the points still stand.

Yup same
Oh buddy absolutely not
Another blow for the ascientific disaster that is the Cass Review: "It is profoundly misguided to cast health care based on low-certainty evidence as bad care or as care driven by ideology, and low-certainty evidence as bad science."
Sex work is work.
Solidarity to these workers as they unionize. And kudos to my @wbng.org parent union, @cwaunion.bsky.social, for supporting the organizing.

Another example of how disabled rights and trans rights are linked; this issue with shared care happens to many groups and we need to fight it as a systemic issue
I would quietly suggest this is one of our best episodes. The research and careful analysis that went into this is a shining example of what I think WTT does really well...and of course I went and threw a grab bag of deeply silly noises all over it too
Finding supportive and helpful mental health resources as someone who is trans and/or non-binary can be really challenging. I genuinely hope that my books can offer some of that support for you. You absolutely deserve to be recognised and understood fully.
Absolutely amazing, thorough analysis, thankyou,
When they make movies about this in the future they will tone down the cruelty of ICE and border patrol, like Spielberg did with Goeth in Schindler's List, because no one will believe they were actually this monstrous.
Please speak out against the new draft guidance for schools that effectively bans trans kids from socially transitioning & this high court ruling that trans people must be segregated/third-sexed in the workplace. Trans people must be able to live as the sex we transition to.
TransActual and Trans+ Solidarity Alliance joint statement on the EHRC Judicial Review. Despite claims that the Supreme Court judgment brought ‘much needed clarity’, today’s ruling confirms it has brought nothing but chaos. We welcome the fact that this ruling makes it clear service providers can include trans people in gendered spaces. It is equally clear that trans people should not be forced to use facilities according to their sex assigned at birth. Statement on TransActual website

This story is not surprising to a lot of us but also hugely important, especially for 🔭 because this is who the space sciences are being handed to 🧪
"Musk’s posts repeatedly echoed prominent white supremacist narratives and ideologies"
Every Republican since Eisenhower has increased the deficit.
Every Democrat since Carter has decreased the deficit.
The panopticon, The Disability Diversion, and a Disability Dongle all in one.
This is a beautiful essay. I didn’t know Robyn had passed and I am gutted, but so heartened my these words. I love my friend, I haven’t picked up my banjo in a while and will do now
That is a reflection of the situation I think you've done a stellar job
We're also getting questions about what the decision means for service providers whose toilets are also used by employees. The High Court doesn't deal with this - and frankly the law is a terrible mess - but the safest (and frankly the most efficient) thing to do is make all toilets unisex.
It's an amazing, comprehensive resource, Ruth, thank you.
Bernie Sanders meme, with text as follows: I am once again updating my mega post about how awful the Cass Review is.
Happy Friday 13th! To celebrate the success of the UK establishment's continued "clarity" on trans exclusion, I am delighted to share a major update to my blog post "What's wrong with the Cass Review?"
The biggest change is an entirely new section on harms caused.

The (fucking stupid) legal answer is, you both (1) don't need to come out to your employer but (2) legally shouldn't use the 'wrong' toilets (and should follow any lawful instruction from your employer). What a nonsense.
"Racist people are firing and laying off Black women at three times the rate of other women."
😬Yikes! It sounds bad when you say it like that!
"Black women are losing jobs at 3 times the rate."
Much better! Makes it sound like the Black women just need to be more careful or better at their jobs!
“Palestine Action is the first civil disobedience organisation that does not advocate for violence to be proscribed by the British Government as a ‘terrorist’ group, in a Trumpian abuse of power which would have seen this Labour Government proscribe the Suffragettes": Ammori.
The High Court’s ruling confirms what we already knew: the EHRC’s draft code of practice is wrong.
And we all know that the media is going to lie about the judgment, so please, write to your MP and explain why Bridget Phillipson needs to send it back. 🏳️⚧️✉️
Fully agree. I think one of the tricks being played that we can repeatedly counter is what constitutes "safeguarding". We know there's risk to trans kids who aren't accommodated, both psychological and from others sam-hope.co.uk/2026/01/06/e...
The NHS closed Tavistock over trans care concerns – there were just eight complaints all from cisgender people.
