Video

This video from Minnesota shows an ICE agent drag a female detainee into a porta potty with him

He’s not helping her to the bathroom

He’s taking her somewhere private where there are no cameras

Ask yourselves why

These men sexually abuse, rape & kill

They’re never held responsible

I really need the rest of the planet to please understand that the US of A needs immediate regime change; and that the US electorate apparently just will not accomplish that in time

cannot stress enough that they are abducting legal observers left and right and people are hearing about this happening to other people and still immediately going “alright where can i go to help now”

hi, political philosopher here! this is not funny, central banks only do this when they're in extreme distress

I think there's a point where you are so angry that you run out of mental space for fear, and I think a lot of Minneapolis and St. Paul were there, today.

If your politics don’t include an understanding and critique of US imperialism under both Democratic and Republican administrations it’s impossible to formulate any meaningful opposition or movement that gets us out of this mess

Wow. Lenacapavir, a twice-yearly shot that prevents HIV spread was just approved by the FDA.

The problem? Due to government cuts to Medicaid, PEPFAR, and Global Fund, it's unlikely this game-changing drug will reach the many people who need it most in the US and globally.

yep. food deserts are a mechanical consequence of how the private grocery store market has evolved. they simply will not be fixed without state action of some kind

Whenever you hear conservative politicians preach from the gospel of "fiscal responsibility," remember that one of the biggest drivers of deficits lately are the Bush and Trump tax cuts, which have added nearly $10 trillion to the national debt.

AAP will continue to publish its own vaccine recommendations after CDC advisers sow distrust The CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices plans to form a work group to review child and adolescent immunization schedules despite them undergoing constant review in real time.

The American Academy of Pediatricians bluntly telling us the current CDC can't be trusted, and of course they are absolutely correct

Wild to me that the folks who wouldn’t take Covid vaccines because they feared they were being microchipped for tracking purposes has no problem with RFK suggesting that everyone should wear monitoring devices “for their health”.

"UnitedHealthcare has DROPPED Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from its network, leaving 20,000 cancer patients (including me) without access to our doctors and life-saving treatment starting July 1.

Cancer patients CANNOT simply
'go elsewhere.' Finding new specialists takes time many of us don't have. This reckless decision will overload other hospitals, delay care, and endanger lives.

What kind of company knowingly disrupts cancer treatment for thousands of people?

SHAME ON YOU UHC!"

People asked why Luigi Mangione became a type of folk hero for millions.

This is why...

Jason Van Dyke has long been a key player in neo-Nazi, white nationalist + Proud Boy circles.

A few years ago, he tried to join the white power terrorist group "the Base," but was rejected for being a “huge liability."

Seems Patriot Front is hurting for members. www.vice.com/en/article/a...

We’re here now. The thing everyone said would never happen. The thing that contrarian journalists, political pundits, and Google doctors dismissed as hysteria.

People who want vaccines may not be able to get them due to deliberate sabotage and erosion of public trust.

I will not forget or forgive all the blood of children this administration has on its hands by defunding USAID. I will not forget or forgive their destruction of freedom enabled by the Supreme Court or the lives of federal workers and academics they sought to destroy for fun

But in their place is a more draconian iteration of the controversial plan to force future federal workers to choose between a more expensive defined benefit annuity and at-will employment, meaning they can be fired “for good cause, bad cause, or no cause at all.” Under the Senate plan, all new federal hires would pay more than double toward FERS compared to feds hired after 2014—9.4% of their basic pay—and those who elect to accrue civil service protections would pay an additional 5 percentage points on top of that, or 14.4% of basic pay.

At a time when it is going to be much harder to recruit public employees, Congress is
a) planning to pass a large de facto pay cut for federal employees
b) force employees who want to keep civil service protections to pay even more

‘This isn’t whet I voted for. I thought they would just arrest people who are criminals’

No, this is what you voted for. You all even waved signs supporting it.

Don’t let them pretend they didn’t know, they did.

Sad destruction and waste. A loss to youth and communities just to make the filthy rich even richer.

Trump Lied About Grocery Prices
Trump Lied About Grocery Prices Trump seems to have given up on making groceries cheaper. Wasn't that what the entire election was supposedly about?

Trump's FTC approving the $36B Mars-Kellanova merger will lead to less competition in a food industry already dominated by a few price-gouging corporations.

Reminder that Trump never actually cared about making groceries cheaper. https://youtu.be/9EXi6xyOXSk?si=-HI0Gt6EC9Ol9CUl

There’s massive and increasing gender based violence against women. Preparing women, telling them the reality, and showing them statistics isn’t sexism. It’s fact that men are the main perpetrators of violence and not by a small percentage.

All I keep thinking about is how Mamdani ran on a broad and populist message about affordability and when centrists hyperfocused on identity to try and divide his coalition, he took it as an opportunity to not only defend his values but persuade new voters

9 months ago 2651 351 34 18

this is why i am pretty confident there will not be a meaningful attempt to do an end run around mamdani. a lot of elite cuomo support seemed to be based on “well, he’s probably going to win and he’s a vindictive asshole and i don’t want to be on his bad side.”

We have enough for shared prosperity. But Republicans want forced pain so the billionaires like Zuck who is a 13% Meta shareholder can get richer
