I get it. After the craziness and stress from the 2020 CZU fires, I still start worrying whenever I hear thunder, even though I'm living on the other side of the world now. Here's hoping the 2026 fire season will be not so bad.

A little while ago, an earthquake struck the coast of Iwate and the shaking was quite strong. A tsunami warning has been issued, and ships are now leaving the harbor all at once for the open sea. A tsunami has reportedly already been detected 60 kilometers offshore. It is on its way here now.
Last year we sold our home and moved to France. As a life long Californian, it was difficult. Living here has its challenges but so far it's been good. One thing, if you do decide to move to Portugal, hire an immigration attorney; it will make things so much easier. Good luck with your decision.
