I Verified My LinkedIn Identity. Here's What I Actually Handed Over. I wanted a blue badge on LinkedIn. To get it, I gave a US company my passport, my face, and my biometric data. Then I read the fine print.

I’m not really surprised, but still…

I like @kilocode.ai it is a nice setup

(I’ve used a lot: cline, continue.dev copilot and even anti-gravity!)

i simply find it a little hard to believe that shortly after every website implemented ai code and fired a bunch of engineers they all started breaking constantly every single day but its not related to the ai code or the skeleton crew

LLMs are the future of software engineering. No, markdown is the future of software engineering. Wait, actually gstack is the future of software engineering.

No, good ideas and hard work are the future of software engineering, same as they've always been.

Today, I got messages from 3 different devs at 3 different large tech companies (1,000+ devs each). "tokenmaxxing" is happening inside all of them.

Why?

Because all of them measure either token usage, or surface metrics like DX's TrueThroughput that reward complex code!

opencode has telemetry, it phones home, it has a bunch of privacy issues. but it's pretty much the only alternative to claude code if you want to choose the llms you're using.

normally i wouldn't care (my company pays $200 for claude max 20) but my friend is mad about it

Update: reduced @rspack/dev-server deps from 193 → 8, install size from 14.9 MB → 4.1 MB.

npm supply chain attacks keep happening and keeping deps minimal makes me feel safer.

Wispr (speech-to-text tool) adds an extra day to your free trial for every day in the first week that you transcribe at least 100 words, and I think that this is the most genius product management move for building a habit in new customers I've ever experienced.
