Hello again! Yes, it’s a new account. I realised that I’m just not made for social media. The old account had far too many followers and was way too visible, so I got rid of it. I’m not planning to use this new one much, but it’s a way for the journal at least to be visible without me having to be.
This is the Bluesky account for the Barthes Studies journal, which has no other social media accounts. For confirmation that this account is genuine, see the Contact page on our website.

Volume 12 of Barthes Studies will be published on 12 November 2026 and will be a special issue on Le Plaisir du texte/The Pleasure of the Text, guest-edited by Bryan Counter.
In 2027 there’ll be another guest-edited special issue (‘Global Barthes’). We’re open to submissions for 2028 and beyond.
