I read a review from something like the Australian Guardian that said it’s ‘the best telly I’ve seen in yonks’. Perfect.

It starts with Ian Beale suckling from a wolf
Each character is drawn so economically, even Tufty the producer who planned revenge after his unwanted advances were spurned.
Kicking a door down to discover a man near death in scene one? It rather set the tone.
He had a golden ending. I’ve been thinking about who your favourite character was, and burrowing into your psyche I’m plumping for Noelene or Jean, the ultimate slow burn.
Having watched all three series of The Newsreader I think it might be one of my favourite all time telly programmes and now I’m a bit lost.
Over a wall a spectacularly well maintained and huge garden is displayed in all its springtime glory. There are fruit trees, daffodils, a rockery, beautifully tended lawn, veg patch etc etc

This is his most famous painting, there’s an atmosphere to it that reminds me of Munoz (also reminds me of Beryl Cook but that’s another story)
His art always looks convincing to me, like he knows the seedy jazz joints first hand, he’s right in there. Reminds me a bit of Edward Burra paintings.
There’s so much of it, casual genius page after page. What’s this later stuff of which you speak?
Munoz’ art is so good I find it openly distressing
'The Orange Seller.' (c1960) Reginald Brill was an English social realist and narrative painter whose work primarily depicts the lives of ordinary people and the landscapes that they inhabit.
Did they? The heyday before the last series when a lot of people lost the run of themselves?
