I've been playing for like 20 years so it comes very easily but it's easy to forget just how much more technical DMC is even compared to other games like it.
And even then, I still feel like I'm only "okay" at the games.

I'm getting the sense that DMC games are kinda like fighting games in terms of learning curve. I think it requires you to put in a lot of time to really get a grasp of the gameplay.
Had to draw this shot of Meiko Kaji and Sonny Chiba in Wandering Ginza Butterfly 2. Fun movies.

Can't wait for it to have like a 90% audience rating for some reason.
Films like that and Return to Silent Hill are, like, skinwalker adaptations. At first glance they seem like faithful adaptations or at least present themselves as such, until you look closer and realize everything is wrong and you've been fooled.
That Grace drawing I did recently is probably the closest I've gotten to drawing a character in my style that I felt happy with. Maybe it's because I have more fun drawing highly neurotic characters like her. Same with the Pomni drawing.
It's been othering me because I look at my own original characters and I'm pretty happy with how they turn out, and they were fun to draw. Meanwhile I look at my fanart and they just seem all over the place.
I've been doing a lot of practicing lately with drawing fanart in my style but it's a struggle because I'm torn between adhering to the original design and my own. I wonder if this is a common struggle with fan artists.
Here's some I did recently. I mostly like to doodle and sketch.
This movie was, like, several Meiko Kaji films combined into one, it's great.
Watched Wandering Ginza Butterfly for the first time and I've never been more flustered by a single movie shot in my life my god.
Nero, on the other hand, I find pretty simple because he just has the one weapon with an extended moveset. I've also got into the habit of hitting Exceed when I'm attacking. Then of course there's Snatch which is a literal game-changer.
Ironically, Nero's my favorite character to play as BECAUSE he's easier to grasp for me. Dante has become a bit overwhelming for me when they added style-switching on top of multiple weapons, and V is neat for a bit until I get to harder difficulties.
Life trajectory of your average furry.
I've been playing DMC since I was 12, and even then, I'm only comfortable saying I'm "okay" at it, at least when compared to everyone else.
I remember as a kid never fully grasping the gameplay until I watched the DMC3 combo video that was an extra.
Been testing out a new lens by taking pictures of some of my cats around the yard and this diva looks like she's starring in her own romcom.
I don't know, I managed to figure it out pretty quickly back in 2005 at age 12.
Also, I initially thought that Adi Shankar was ripping off The Raid for two episodes before realizing no, he's actually ripping off Dredd, which he executive-produced. He's literally trying to reheat Dredd's leftovers, a movie he had no creative input in yet keeps pretending it was his brainchild.
The show just feels so uninterested in Dante. He feels like an afterthought in his own story. The show is more interested in Lady and she's the worst part of the whole show.
It's absolutely insane to me that they had Dante struggle against fucking Rudra (Not even powered up using his brother's sword, just Rudra) even in Devil form for half an episode, only for Lady to come in and one-shot him with a fucking bullet.
Is it as bad as DmC? I'm not sure yet, still need to think about it. At the very least DmC was ABOUT Dante and he had shit to do.
Lady's dialogue is about on par and at times even worse than DmC's.
Been rewatching the Netflix DMC show with my brother and god it's worse than I remembered.
I remembered being pretty mixed on it when I first watched it, probably wanted to like it, but now I just think it's straight-up bad.
The FNAF 2 Movie did more with McKenna Grace than Scream 7.
Scream 7's Ghostface reveal managed to somehow be both "Literally fucking who?" and "Well, no fucking shit."
My method of dealing with this room was to kill a few enemies, leave, then re-enter and repeat. That way you at least made yourself some checkpoints.
Grace's segments are awesome on insanity, especially without using the infinite ink ribbon.
I concur with this but also I went into the final boss unprepared and now he's absolutely kicking my ass. I'm tempted to just use a rocket launcher.
I'll admit I never sat down and watched the '97 series. I just read the manga (Though it's been a long while), the movie trilogy, and like two episodes of the shitty 2016 anime.
I just remember looking up where the anime ended and being turned off by that, but I should really give it a proper watch.
