First game of 2026 is Two Point Museum and have been having a blast, big fan of the Two Point franchise and this one feels like it has learnt the lessons of the previous two games, many an hour to be spent in this one!

That existential dread on the final weekend before returning back to work after Christmas time off is here, is it time to fake my own death? Win the lottery? Anything?!

Watched "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery" on Netflix, definitely better than the second one but there was something pure about the first one, a true murder mystery. A decent twist to keep you guessing but inconsistent pacing.

Only managed to watch two anime last year: a rewatch of School Rumble and finally watched Steins;Gate 0 for the first time. 2026 is the time I make my way through my backlog of series (where have I heard this before...)

2025 is over, gaming goals for next year:
1. Playthrough of all Yakuza/Like a Dragon games and spin-offs.
2. Play all Star Wars games.
3. Persona series/more JRPG games.
4. FINALLY finish Fallout franchise.
Anything to add/remove?

The worst part about Dying Light 2 is the main protagonist, at my ripe old age, the stereotypical 'main male game character' voice is very boring, delivery is either emotionless or just suddenly become emotional with no build up, it felt spliced together.
I played the first Dying Light game on PC, I *think* I enjoyed it. I did not replay the first game but after DL2, I am not even sure I liked the first one? The parkour was painful, enemies play by different combat rules to you and the side quests are very repetitive.
Steam Replay 2025: Dying Light 2 Stay Human - the game I spent arguably the longest period of time playing and was one of my backlog games, shameless plug here: www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

Still Wakes the Deep was another beautiful game, the water physics were stunning and for that alone it is worth playing! The story was by the by but it did the job in a few hours worth of gameplay.

Steam Replay 2025: Still Wakes the Deep - after playing a Welsh horror game, the next was a Scottish one. Still have to replay in Scottish Gaelic as it is the only true way to play. Although I do not like games that offer a different language but it is only the text that changes.
Steam Replay 2025: replayed GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas. Grand Theft Auto was my favourite game franchise, however, replaying older titles much older in life makes me appreciate the power of nostalgia. Some games are best left as happy memories from a different time.
Chilla's Art: Welcome Home Daddy and Aka Manto were just fucking awful, could not bring myself to finish them. Stigmatized Property was where you can see Chilla's Art really starting to take shape as a developer and certainly for 2026 will I want to continue playing their games.
Steam Replay 2025: Another goal was to complete all of Chilla's Art indie horror games, made a start with Welcome Home Daddy, Evie, Okaeri, Aka Manto, Inunaki Tunnel and Stigmatized Property.

Steam Replay 2025:Ten Bells - my first anomaly hunting game, not normally of interest but this is the game to convert you. A very charming setting, bit of good horror elements thrown in, some story to uncover along the way. Ten Bells is worth a playthrough.

Steam Replay 2025: Maid of Sker was very atmospheric and looked beautiful, certainly got a good few scares out of me but the ambience and setting is what really sells this game, would love to see more from the developer.

Steam Replay 2025: Avowed - despite what the moaners and edgy children said, the game was solid. The exact kind of RPG experience that I have missed for a while, interesting story, characters, combat, decision making affecting the story and, most importantly, I want to replay it.
Steam replay 2025: Sleeping Dogs replay was a lot of fun, definitely more rage inducing than I remember but again probably another issue with me being older and worse at games.
SteamReplay2025: Fallout New Vegas, what else to say? Perfection really, Bethesda can only strive to achieve what Obsidian did. First time playing DLCs and thought Dead Money criminally underrated, The Long Road is the best, Honest Hearts is overhyped but still very enjoyable.
First time playing The Saboteur from the 360 era a treat for anyone not played it. The voice acting is pretty shit but the gameplay is great, changing from black and white to colour is awesome. Cars, combat, quests were varied and interesting. 8/10.
Fallout 1 definitely has its charm. My brain was too dumb for a first playthrough, it fall into the adult life problem of: not enough time and wanting to play through it as quick as possible but this game needs some thought. Shameless plug to playthrough: www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...
My goal of 2025 was to complete the entire Fallout franchise, started off strong with Fallout 1 then quickly needed to move back to replay New Vegas, attempted Fallout Tactics and then haven't touched any Fallout since [this is what Tactics does to a mf]
Steam Replay 2025 tells me I have played 31 games this year, including 21 NEW ones?? I have no memory of playing these new games...
31 games for 31 years on this planet, fate smiles upon me

Calculated that if I want to get through my downloaded backlog of games (ignoring the ones not installed), I will need 600+ days... Need a lottery win or a multi-million pound idea - life as a 30+ y/o office worker

I'll be scouring my local card shops and stalls ASAP, I imagine they'll also be similarly priced here! The only question is whether to go for quality though.
The devs! :O Loved the game, changed my view on the style of game so really looking forward to full release :)
The game looks a lot of fun, let me just grab a friend real quick...
The perfect amount of time for an indie horror game imo! Next payday and it is being played
Now that is what I am looking for, looks very good, thank you! Is it a relatively short game?
