My dad won a Breakthrough Prize last night for lifetime achievement in fundamental physics. “The Oscars of Science” - strangest event I’ve ever attended. Tech bro billionaires, celebrity performers and presenters, and scientists. But the main thing is I got a photo with my favorite actor!
Congratulations to UC Santa Barbara's David Gross, who just won the 2026 Special Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics, for a lifetime of groundbreaking contributions to theoretical physics—from the strong force to string theory.
