No idea what the subs are like, but the dialogue is so hilariously bad. I can't hear:

Especially when the next line was;

Motioning to his very bland gf. To some random guy he doesn't even know.

Might have made a mistake. Wanted to check out another romcom while rewatching Polar. So decided to try out Gamers.

They drop this line 5 minutes in:

Truly Ready Player One tier dialogue.

Headcanon: Miyu is completely oblivious to Sato and Watanabe having been a couple for the last 6 months. Just writing off them holding hands and hanging out as 'gal pals' until one drops "oh yeah, we went on a date over the weekend."

Oh, I 100% agree. Sometimes a story says all it needs to, and that’s fine. Not everything needs a fandom. It’s like you said: you need to give fans room for their own creativity.

That’s why something like Undertale got huge. Good game, and plenty of unexplored threads and fan interpretations.

This just feels like an extension of the techbro fascination with AI slop.
