I think, the touch bar was a good feature, but that macbook itself as a whole was disliked for its ports and other things.

A Trackpad or Magic mouse works best for when you need side scrolling. Like for example while using fcp.

That one Magic accessory is always required. I use Magic Mouse for its touch surface along with regular mouse.
