Timeline of Phases each Split:

Week 1: North & East Qualifiers (Phase 1)
Week 2: Lower Swiss (Phase 2)
Week 3: Upper Swiss (Phase 3)
Week 4-6: Playoffs (Phase 4)

The system ensures that teams stay competitive and only the best make it to playoffs and Challengers EMEA.

Phase 4: Playoffs

8 Team Double Elimination
BO3 matches + BO5 for Lower Finals and Grand Finals

Top 4 qualify for Challengers EMEA where they can gather points for Ascension EMEA.

Nobody is automatically qualified for playoffs, they always to prove themselves first in the Upper Swiss

Phase 3: Upper Swiss

BO1 until Elimination or Advancement which is BO3

Top 8 go to playoffs and secure a slot in the Upper Swiss for next split

Bottom 8 end their split and go back down to Lower Swiss next Split to face the 4 North Qualifier teams and 4 East Qualifier teams

Phase 2: Lower Swiss

BO1 until Elimination or Advancement which is BO3

Top 8 go up and continue their split
Bottom 8 go down and end their split

Phase 1:

North & East have seperate qualifiers due to both regions having a Premier server each

North Qualifier:
6 Premier Teams
6 National League Teams
4+ bottom North Teams

East Qualifier:
12 Premier Teams
4+ bottom East Teams

4 Qualify for the next Phase of the Split, rest go back to Premier

If you end Bottom 8 in the Lower Swiss then you'll have to play either the North or East Qualifier next Split against the best Premier and National teams

If you make Top 8 in the Lower Swiss you qualify into the Upper Swiss where you can steal a Playoff slot + Upper Swiss slot for next Split

If you end Bottom 8 in the Upper Swiss, then you'll have to play in the Lower Swiss in the next split

If you make Top 8 in the Upper Swiss, then you make playoffs confirm a slot in Upper Swiss for the next split which gives you 1 week of extra prep time

To start the season there will be 16 teams (8 North & 8 East) directly invited into the system and 8 teams can qualify

Afterwards, the system will run by itself, your performance determines where you are placed in the system in the next split. You only fall down 1 step per Split.
