Handmade hangar from Pollocks clothes shop, Brixton late 1976. Quite Billy Idol. I loved that 50s/ early 60s shade to early Punk

Talking with a friend this morning about how great and pertinent this song is: great Lowrey organ, early use of rhythm machine, lyrics inspired by another American mess, Vietnam. (B side of single, Funky Me, is ace too) www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJ38...

Bought OTD in 1969: future classic, all time great pop/ rock album. Tunes, heaviness, concept masked by humour. Faves: the title track, Afterglow, Long Agos, Song of a Baker, Lazy Sunday, Mad John, the Journey
Found a copy of this wonderful album: fast proto acid bears with synth ragas, can’t beat it. 1982
