In Kenya, where Ndei is from, A Chinese-backed stadium is being built but the loan will be paid back using sport development funds, which would be “detrimental to communities” that this money was meant for.

That there is virtually no coverage of this news conference is damning.

So proud of my colleagues who fight for Palestinian journalists every day. To date, Israel has over 200 journalists in Gaza.

Last week, Canada issued a statement "reaffirming its commitment to the safety of journalists" in Gaza. But it did not specify how it plans to hold Israel accountable, only calling on the government to take action.

Not a single one mentions that Iran currently does not have a nuclear weapon and that it was attacked by Israel during disarmament negotiations with the US. Or that that IAEA chief himself has repeatedly said “that nuclear facilities should never be attacked.”

It’s pretty amazing to see the four statements from Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, and EU on US strikes on Iran side-by-side. The wording is pretty much verbatim, esp the first two paragraphs. They all have the same script.

To date, Israeli troops have killed 435 Palestinians & injured over 3,000 as they lined up for aid at GHF distribution sites. Yet, a new report by @premthakker.bsky.social reveals that senior U.S. officials are pressuring USAID to approve funding for GHF

June 19, 2025 - 31 Palestinians are killed by Israeli forces near GHF sites. This is also the first time that IDF confirmed to AFP that airstrikes were used saying “an aircraft struck and eliminated the suspects in order to remove the threat."

The BBC now has a timeline of Palestinians killed by Israeli fire while seeking aid that they added to this story.

But when I add up their numbers, the total number of Palestinians massacred near GHF sites comes up to 239. The actual number is 409.

June 18, 2025 - 12 Palestinians are killed and 172 injured while seeking aid when Israeli forces opened fire at thousands of people queuing up near a GHF distribution centre. GHF refused to comment and said that they have distributed food "without incident"
