I always say this to my students. Why are my classes targeted as "ideological", but business classes that teach them how to maintain the status quo don't? 🙄

STEM fields, economics, law, polisci etc. are full of conservatives. Universities have incredible diversity of thought. The great thing about fighting back against this stuff is that if you end up losing anyway you get the same outcome you’d have gotten from complying but you don’t have to fucking hate yourself too.

In Brazilian Portuguese, we have todes (instead or todos or todas) and menine (instead of menino or menina), for instance.

Imagine thinking languages don't change 🥱 also, Spanish and Portuguese speakers in Latin America have been using gender neutral language since at least the 2000s (amigue, for instance). We may not use Latinx, but we use many other versions.
