Melbourne friends, I am planning a trip later on this month and I would love to hear suggestions for things to see and do. I’ve got a lot of the famous landmarks on the itinerary already, but keen to hear what locals think is worth while or lesser known options

Well, Mayhem was definitely one way to describe that show… technical issues, rain and a dancer injury scare couldn’t put a dampener on what was an incredible night. As always, Lady Gaga killed it! #MayhemBallSydney

I made some miso & ginger glazed roast pumpkin the other week and I was obsessed. You’ve just reminded me to pick up some more pumpkin on my next shop

Went to the doctor cause I had tingling pain and a small rash from what I thought may have been a spider bite…. Nope, shingles. Fuck my life! This is so uncomfortable and it’s not even that bad compared to pictures I’ve found online. I’m so annoyed!

Took part in a charity gingerbread house competition last night for my work and came away with the big win. That’s 2 entries and 2 wins now, who knew I was the gingerbread queen?!

Taking part in a gingerbread house competition on Friday, with the theme “elf on the shelf”. I’m coming for that win with my DIY edible props! One of my nods to the theme is a mini “ do you like my ginger - bread” house?” pun (made using crostini and a chunk of ginger). I’m so keen!

Went to the Lifeline book fair in Castle Hill today, walked away with 16 books for $60. Happy is an understatement and the only reason I didn’t grab more books was cause my bags were full. It’s a book lovers paradise!

A year ago, I was staying in the Amalfi Coast and did a day trip to the Isle of Capri. One of my favourite memories of my time in Italy, I can’t wait to go back one day and spend more time there!

This flu just keeps on giving… was on a phone call with the NDIS for work (I’m WFH, not in the office) and had a coughing fit that was so bad it caused me to start vomitting. Safe to say I’ve never been more mortified and that call was promptly ended!
That’s enough work for today!

The flu can fuck right off. Day 4 of being sick and no sign of it going away anytime soon. I miss being able to breathe from at least one of my nostrils!

After years of pain, I have official confirmation of fibroids… it’s something but I still can’t help but feel like it’s not an actual explanation/solution. The medical field really does not know enough about women’s bodies and has no answers for our concerns. Feeling demoralised

Joined in on my local Relay for Life event today. Raised a whole bunch of cash for cancer, hung out with new and old friends, walked almost 30km from 9am-9pm and made the women’s leaderboard for most laps walked. A good day!

Oops, only just seeing this. I didn’t end up watching much cycling this year - only saw a couple of highlights here and there. Life has been busy as I had started a new job a week or two before TDF kicked off. Hopefully I’ll be more present soon!

You know things got a little wild in Sydney last night when your commute to work is full of downed trees, fallen branches and lots of other random debris on the road. They were not joking about the “bomb cyclone” thing!

Thanks Kel! The job is through the same company so I’m glad it’s not a completely fresh start but I’m keen to move up in my career and grow!

Applied for a better paying job on Friday afternoon, went for an interview this morning and got a call this arvo saying I got it! I can’t believe it and would never have expected how it all played out. I’m nervous but excited!

Shows how dire their talent pool at the moment is, they really don’t have many prospects to pin their hopes to. They’ve lost their prime picks over the years and failed to secure support from some they should have (eg Allegra Spender should have been a lock for LNP cabinet/leadership)

One of the lessons of Liberal Party over my lifetime is that the next leader will be worse than you thought the last one was.

Total respect for authors who are like "With this premise I will write a trilogy" and then produce exactly 3 books from it

Having been to Vatican City last year is making me way more interested in the whole “new pope” / conclave situation. Like, I’ve been there, I now have context for where it’s all going down. The intrigue has been turned up!

Just went to Aldi and snapped up a whole bunch of Easter choc for half price. If you’re still paying full price, you’re not doing it right! An extra couple of days to enjoy a treat won’t hurt you 🐰🍫
