A network of YouTube accounts is promoting U.S. annexation to Albertans, researchers say. It has 40M views Flagged as a "potential covert influence operation" in a new report, those behind the network are tough to trace.

Researchers have been watching this network of YouTube accounts for awhile--the accounts post regularly, push a consistent message and if one goes down, another pops up. They've now turned attention to Alberta separation, and US annexation.

Philip Bump: How recent is America's past? Things that Americans think of as having long ago were, in fact, within the lifespans of most of us.

For all of the interest in pretending that inequalities are a function of will or that structural racism is in the distant past: 12 million people were born in Jim Crow states before Jim Crow ended — and still live there today. Gift link:

Kevin Warsh just lost me. He argues he's going to be an independent Fed Chair, but refuses to acknowledge that Trump lost the 2020 election. If you can't state simple facts when you're in the political spotlight, you aren't independent. You're a coward.

If you haven't been to Billy Bishop Airport or don't spend time on that section of the waterfront, you might not realize that thousands of people live 500 metres or so from the runway. Here's what expanding it could mean to them:

The media’s failure to cover Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner’s ongoing conflicts of interest as he gets billions from the Middle East while being Trump’s negotiator is insane.

(Especially after what they did with Hunter Biden)
