Verified Purchase. HATED IT! Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2025 I purchased this book both in soft cover and kindle thinking it would be a fun book for my young grandchildren after having just seen the original Wizard of Oz movie. I have read a lot of books with dogs as main characters, many from the dog's perspective. This was absolutely not anything a dog would think or know, even if a dog would supposedly watch Dorothy's "pocket screen". Dogs cannot relate to anything that complex. In addition, the language was completely unsuitable for kids. And why??? Uncle Henry was a right-wing conspiracy theorist? Class revolutions in Oz? I will say it was well written, and I might have enjoyed it if it weren't tied to the Wizard of Oz. But, overall, it was not even remotely what I hoped for.

Browsing my morning e-book deals and saw Toto.

After reading a few of the top reviews, I skipped to see what the 1 stars thought, and I have -never- been sold on a book faster.

As much as I agree with you on that, what we really need is for you to do something about it.

Make a stand, something, anything. Many people are losing their livelihoods, their safety and even their lives. They need you… or someone stronger to fight for them.

Certainly for normal games, software, etc. but my understanding is that for core OS software like this, a company usually buys all the rights entirely before using it at all. Like Microsoft did with Bliss (the default background on XP), which was originally just a licensable stock photo.

For an element of their own former interface? That seems highly unlikely that those wouldn’t have been locked down years and years ago. No major company commits to something being used in their main interface that they haven’t made themselves or bought the license outright in the first place.

A lot of folks are giving up in advance. Capitulating before a single skirmish.

I don’t know how to explain to people that the forces driving ai adoption and the ones that drove crypto are the same, and that means it’s a scam. It’s not like between here and there they had a change of heart. It’s just the same scammers running a scam. Even if you don’t see it yet, it’s a scam.
