A BIG BIG “THANK YOU” on behalf of the Foodbank. The Christmas Spirit is definitely alive at Graveney🎄🎁
Well Done Team Graveney! ……… One Team, One Dream🤩
The Foodbank were so grateful for all our efforts. They said that our donation will prove crucial in helping them continue to serve those who were struggling with food poverty in our local community and will make a huge difference to the families which they work with
The goods were all packaged up by our students and delivered in a very full mini bus on Tuesday 16th December by Miss Ibe and some of the Charity Reps.
We have been overwhelmed with our families generosity, with many students arriving at school laden with tins and packets, as well as some lovely special treats, something we know will be hugely appreciated by those who receive them.
We know that this year, as last year there will be families who need some extra help and as such a huge school we felt that we could really make a difference. For each day in December we invited students and staff to ‘give back’, bringing in food and personal items for our local food bank.
The reverse advent calendar initiative, is a Graveney Christmas tradition that has been established for some time now and one we wanted to continue this year.
In previous years the initiative has been hugely successful and has had a significant impact on local foodbanks being able to meet need.
Girls just want to have fun 👍🏾
Keeping hydrated is key ...by whatever method necessary 🤣

What a setting to take a walk surrounded by good company
With the penultimate day coming to an end there has been a flurry of activities for students. Many are returning from their overnight trek and its plain to see that the students are having fun and spirits are high.
Inside the cabin there is a wood burning fire and everyone sleeps really well due to the exposure of lots of clean fresh air and not to mention the exertions of the trek which many are unaccustomed to😉
On one special night the students trek to a "luxury" cabin on the mountains to be at one with nature. Its one night and theyhave everything they need to be comfortable 😀
Moments of reflection ... students in awe of what they see before them.
The environment of Outward Bound is very different from London. With such a rich and varied geography students really do experience different types of nature which is so good for their wellbeing😊
It's so far been an eventful trip with RedFlash all getting to know each other better and are bonding well in their groups. Look at the Landscape.... certainly don't see views like that n Tooting 🤣
A beautiful day to be on the water. Students taking full advantage of the calm water and lovely scenery. Nothing beats being in the great outdoors
Students not daunted by the trek ahead. A time for some self reflection.....
Preparations for the day ahead.. trek, scramble, water activities - which will it be?!But before all that some pretrek team building activities to get students in the right frame of mind.
Nothing sets you up for the day than a good carb filled breakfast😋

What a view😯. Who wouldn't want to wake up to that !🤗
Not even the wet weather can dampen their spirits. Students get ready and are excited for the first trek of the week to the Cabins in the hills. Views are breath taking.....
Great News, Graveney's Outward Bound week2 has arrived safely in Wales. Let the Adventures Begin......
Pupils trekking to their log cabin "retreat" revelling in nature and taking in the stunning views . With the hike and fresh air sleep shouldn't be a problem tonight 😉
Wet weather scrambling - channelling those spider senses
What a great day that was had by all! The weather wasn't the best but didn't affect pupil morale . But its pretty hard not to be inspired by those views. Pupils encouraged and supported each other as some took on the leap of faith....
Aberdovey, Wales welcomes Graveney School's 1st Outward Bound trip this year.😊Despite the long journey staff and pupils threw themselves straight into the activities planned by the centre. The incredible view would no doubt have been a great motivator😉.
