I did this last year. Didn't have the stuff for pea soup, so just ham and veggies in the pot. Amazing. To hell with chicken.

I mistakenly complained to a friend in Durham Region that I missed my bus and the next one didn't come for 18min, so I might be late. I could hear his sigh from across the city. "Poor baby, are you okay," was the first thing he said to me.
That screencap does't look half as disheveled as I recall him being in that movie.
These days, the answer to that sort of question is always 'Jesse Plemons'
What an ignoble end for such a formative place for many an 18-year-old Ontario boy.
Not sure how it works. I know a couple cousins are absolutely still posting, so it can't be that effective.
This is what I (ineffectively) tried to explain to Aussie-based family. Why are we putting the onus on kids rather than those causing the problem?
I have opinions on geriatric politicians being afraid of youth organizing as a source for the angle of attack in these policies....

Once or twice a year, someone logs in to the r/printSF subreddit and wants to know WHY something in THIS sub has a SWORD in it!
and then a few kind souls point him to the abbreviation for "speculative fiction" in the name and that...usually doesn't help...
description of traffic fine in queensland for failing to give way at a marked foot crossing with flashing yellow lights. 3 demerit points and $500 dollarydoos.
$164? There's part of the problem right there. I recently spent time driving in Queensland, and they don't mess around. Speed/Red Light cameras everywhere, with real consequences.
I've had this happen as a pedestrian, and also in my car (at a four way stop). People just don't stop. And so then I stop. And then they shout some variation of "I see you!I'm not going to hit you!"
I've also hit/kicked a lot of front ends of cars who start rolling while *many* people are crossing.
great book, very accessible and enjoyable.
thank you for introducing "charismatic megastructures" into my vocabulary :)
...dogs?
The *threat* of a strike gets shit done. No one *wants* to go on strike. It *sucks*.
To this day, there are members who whinge about the union lacking "the balls" to go on strike. Because that "would show them".
Motherfuckers we *won*. Relax.
We were hours away from a strike during our last bargaining. Mgmt panicked once they saw the barriers and barrels getting unloaded. "What are your workers doing?!" Uhhh, setting up the pickets? Frantic phone calls, a late night extension, and we had a deal to vote on the next day.
"Remember, you know things, too. Deep inside. You’ll question yourself. We all do. But you have a gut-level knowing that would rise up and out from that sweet belly, even if you were the last person on Earth, walking around with your Nuk and the last bag of Doritos."

that's the best part: they don't have to make sense!

I feel like mine is a tie between any 54-40 song that has ever charted and Cheap Trick's I Want You.....
exactly where my head went. equally well done.
when all you can think to shout is "echo"
wow. burn your diplomas and replace them with this screenshot.
that part is understandable. beyond Schitt's Creek and maybe Corner Gas (guilty pleasure), there's a lot of muck to wade through
talk about Jim Carrey on this side of the 49th and you'll be put on an ice floe, eh buddy?
We've reached a point where I sometimes can't distinguish personal posts from coded posts about certain major political figures.

As a millenial male of a certain complexion, let me tell you all about my on again off again relationship with Sigur Ros...
(middle aged white dude) i hadn't heard of hime til last year, when he was most streamed artist or somesuch.
i asked my colombian coworker about him: "not my style music but, man, you (gestures at skin and language) have no idea how big he is"
