my goal is to basically create a tool that allows designing custom Minecraft GUIs in a web editor and then being able to use them on a server with a resource pack. it's not limited to inventories, it can also be used for dialogs and custom item tooltips (or any other UI element that can render text)

i've worked on a font importer feature today along with some more behind-the-scenes improvements. the next huge milestone will be reimplementing the visual gui editor (i hope to get that done in the next few days) :3

i am looking forward for splatoon raiders or any other future singleplayer content. Octo Expansion & Side Order (+ 3's hero mode) were genuinely such amazing experiences, but online just isnt it for me, i tried to like it so many times but it just keeps disappointing me every single time :/

i could just stick to turf war but even that mode is filled with sweats. seriously, i don't understand how anyone can even remotely take themselves seriously when they play this game competitively. the netcode, matchmaking & tick rate is an absolute joke, even minecraft has a better netcode ๐Ÿ˜ญ

its so sad that i can no longer see splatoon as a comfort game because i just get stomped into the ground every time i try to play online. salmon run is unenjoyable most of the time because i either get bad teammates or the weapons just make it impossible to get to higher difficulties

aside from that, a lot of work went into rewriting Xenyria's resource pack "compiler" this week. it's not fully done yet but the backend part is mostly finished, after that i just need to rebuild the editor gui (which is the aforementioned web app)

i sadly dont have that much new stuff to show just yet but i did work on something cool today. i need some way of displaying mc models in a web app for a future project, so i added a feature to my minecraft renderer that converts any model in the game to a GLB file headlessly

also ICYMI: Forklift (the tool I'm using for manipulating entities) is open source now. It's still experimental but usable. there's also a demo paper plugin in the repo which allows you to try out some of the mod's features :3

ropes are the first custom entity i've built with omni's new entity system. omni essentially just sits on top of paper in this case and handles all of the custom entity's packets. however, i can also run omni as a standalone server without paper (which is what we use for PS)

i'm currently rebuilding the level editor system for xenyria. there's not that much to show yet but spawning in objects and moving, rotating and scaling them works fine. there's still a lot of work left to be done however

What seemed odd is that my GPU also didn't properly initialize on boot sometimes, so I just heard Windows boot up but I didn't get any display output. Anyways, I hope it stays stable now. If this happens one more time I'm just gonna RMA the card and switch to my laptop

i still don't know if its an issue with my GPU or my board. Every few hours I just get a black screen followed by the entire system freezing. I ended up reinstalling Windows yesterday and I literally had the same thing happen during installation. It seemed work okay after the second try

Xenon's debug shape system is now completely functional again. These are essentially just for visualizing server-side states which is super helpful when debugging.
Also, Xenon now has packets for controlling the player's camera + setting the player's Discord activity :3
