Men aren't doing the work to undo millennia of cultural inequality. At its most basic, you have to work against the cultural assumptions that stereotype young women, middle-aged women, old women, uppity women, single mothers, that define our personhood solely in terms of utility to men.

Stop calling rape "sex." Men didn't pay to "have sex" with girls. They paid to rape them. Trump doesn't "fuck kids." He rapes kids. Don't give them euphemisms like pedophile-- raping kids isn't a goddamn medical condition. Rape culture encourages you to adopt language that covers for rapists. Stop.

D'oh! 😳 that had not occurred to me. I had been putting increased IBS episodes down to poor eating, but couldn't think of any specific unsafe foods.

I struggle to name it in myself - putting it down to menopause, burnout, depressive episodes... when realistically it's all of the above EXACERBATED by Long Covid. I think many people with LC are like me, it's The Disease That Shall Not Be Named.

Most of the veggies I hated as a kid I now love - even capsicum! - but the memory of grandma's overcooked gray broad beans just will not shift.
