Late to the party but I'm finally watching Andor. While the show is excellent in many ways, currently my favorite part is Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma. I just finished "Welcome to the Rebellion" in season 2 and her performance is so multi-faceted and brilliant.

RIP to comics legend Sam Kieth. I've not read much in the way of his comic work outside of Sandman, but the Max cartoon series left an impact on me as a teen.
I started Absolute Batman and I like it so far. I for sure want to at least dip my toes in the rest of the Absolute titles.
Getting caught up on the Krakoa era is definitely something I want to do.
So I finally joined the 21st century and got a tablet. And it’s made reading comics so much better than my phone. I’ve dropped off most recent comics, so does anyone have any recommendations for newish stuff on Marvel Unlimited or DC Infinite?
Yup. I am not a huge fan of card mechanics in games in general, but the way it’s implemented there is especially annoying.
Made my wife and I a ribeye and we watched Predator: Badlands. And now we’re watching Predators (the only other one in the series I hadn’t watched). We are very traditional that way when it comes to Valentines.
Damn. RIP Catherine O’Hara, I can’t count the number of amazing roles she’s done that’s stuck with me over the decades.
A day of alternating movies with cleaning the house with my wife. Today we watched Bill & Ted 3, Mayhem, Nobody and Train to Busan

Batman saying, “this is the toll of the core. We do not understand it. We will not use it.”
Finally got a job offer, two months into living in a new city. Still having to pay for two mortgages isn’t ideal, but hopefully my old house sells soon. But it’s a huge relief regardless.
Mawwiage!
So I’m getting married tomorrow. And the weird part is I feel totally fine about it. I’ve got a baseline amount of anxiety in most of my day to day. But this? Totally different. It helps that it’s a tiny ceremony (just us, her kids and her bff and his gf) but honestly its mostly cuz it feels right.
Posted this on Facebook, but it’s official, I’m moving to St Louis to be with my fiancée. Turned in my resignation at work and my house was just posted for sale. Crossing my fingers everything goes smooth, but I can’t wait to start my next chapter.
Phone Booth (2002)

So the new Superman might be my favorite comic book movie. Not necessarily the objective best, though it’s very good. But it terms of just being a fun time and embracing the comic book silliness? I think it’s one of the best.
Two minutes until Superman!
Jim Shooter was probably not a great person to work for, but it’s undeniable that he has left a huge impact on comics. From the Legion of Super Heroes, to the Dark Phoenix Saga’s ending to the symbiote Spider-Man costume. RIP
If a report came out tomorrow that said LeBron James got advanced notice of drug tests we’d see 100x’s the focus on that than we’ll get on this guy who *checks notes* was given free rein of the federal government.
Thanks! We each picked our own.
So I got engaged today. What all did you do?
RIP Peter David. His X-Factor runs were some of my favorite bits of their respective periods of X-comics
There’s no way James Gunn could have known what 2025 would become, but damn, Superman arguing that saving people is more important than anything else… I think that’s the movie we needed right now.
“WE ARE THE THUNDERBOLTS!!!”
“I. AM. GROOT!”
I don’t know if you’ll like it as much as I did, but I think you’ll probably have fun.
Saw the first showing of Thunderbolts after work. I freaking loved it. I love all the Marvel films, so when I say that this is one of the best in years, that's not me daming it with faint praise, it's a genuinely great film and worth your time.
I checked this out on Snopes, completely real.

I had an amazing belated birthday weekend. Dinner at 801 Chophouse with my lovely girlfriend Karen, and then on Saturday an escape room at The Escape Game with a lot of my best friends and a small party at my house.
I would have enjoyed a little more catharsis as well, it feels a little like most of this season is setting up the next, which isn’t a dealbreaker, other shows do that too, but it does leave me anxious for season 2
