Agreed, Cale’s ‘live take’ approach to this didn’t do the songs justice

I saw them a lot before this album came out (and although it captures a moment in time) the John Cale ‘live’ production just didn’t bring out the best in the songs. The Peel session versions (Kuff Dam and Cob20) are much better IMO
