“Gift of the Pari” is the cover I painted for @khoreo.bsky.social ! It was a huge honor! With Nowruz being today, it wanted to share. Pari are winged supernatural being in Iranian mythology. I wanted to paint them as birds with human faces, surrounded by saffron crocuses and jasmine. Happy Nowruz. 🌸

Story day!

‘Letters from Light’s End’ is out now in @khoreo.bsky.social.

This one’s a queer riff on ‘Interstellar’ - with added cosmic horror, hehe - and a response to Joe Haldeman’s ‘The Forever War.’

Thank you to the khōréō team, and my amazing TOC buddies!

I’m going to share something beautiful everyday to combat The Endless Horrors, because my head is a glass jar filled with angry wasps, and I need something to keep me tethered to the here and now, that it’s still all worth it. Today’s pick is a short story by Rebecca Nakaba called “Umeboshi.”
