Anyone in the Truro-ish area of #Cornwall? Heading down from Plymouth tonight to play again in The Barn & Ell's bar, which is one of the most quirky and fun venues I've ever played at - which, believe me, is really saying something! If you don't know it yet, you really should check it out.

It's *so* great that you created 100 songs this week using fucking Suno.
I, on the other hand, spent 3 days choosing just the right reverb for my latest vocal take.
I mean, it IS sexy...
Well, it's Bandcamp Friday, and 'Escape Hatch Fever' is available on VINYL as a 'buy now' option - it's officially out and no longer a pre order!
Massive thanks to everyone who supports me - new music is on the way...

Several versions: a 1-hour show from 8pm (UK) on 31st on www.folkfridayradio.com and 2-hour versions at both paradigms.life and www.mixcloud.com/JohnReedBreathe
You too man!
I'll drink to that!
Merry Christmas all - and a particularly merry Christmas to those of you who have been attending & supporting grass roots live music gigs throughout the year - we're really going to need you more than ever in 2026!
Happy Christmas ๐!
I always preferred the Daleks tbh
It's almost Christmas and therefore time for decadence - in my case that means a sausage wrap for lunch with TWO kinds of cheese. Two!
Oh wow that's very cool!
Who made the case?๐ค

There's room for more though!
I like real stuff. Do you like real stuff? If so, I have some over on my Bandcamp site for #BandcampFriday: gozergoodspeed.bandcamp.com
In case you missed it - my new remix of 'Sense in the Age of Excess' came out yesterday. Prepare for some weirdness & some dance beats...
SURPRISE! I actually have 1 last new release of the year for you. This is a brand new remix of 'Sense in the Age of Excess' featuring old skool dance drum beats & lots of weirdo psychedelic stuff done by yours truly. Enjoy! song.link/y/pbHO6HdgsI0
We think "Oh, it's probably just AI". It's the great numbing of our collective emotional response. It's sad and dangerous. I also think it'll affect our ability to empathise with each other too.
My advice: put down your device, go & watch live music, talk to like minded strangers, & enjoy life FFS
I think what really disturbs me about AI is that we are all, collectively, undergoing a psychological shift as we become bombarded with AI content - we are all now forever in doubt that what we're seeing is true or real. We're less impressed or moved by things because that doubt exists. ๐
That's the correct way to do things, IMO!
I like Christmas. When it's here. When you're right on top of it & it's happening. But this whole 'listening to Xmas songs well in advance of a month before the actual event' - that's lost on me, folks.
Was asked to describe myself so๐
40something lifelong songwriter, dedicated lyricist, guitar obsessive, genre blender, music in the blood, head somewhere out in space, played 1000s of gigs, seen a lot of shit it takes a whole song to explain. Independent of mind & spirit gozergoodspeed.bandcamp.com
Is there any truth to this "BBC Introducing picks an AI artist as its artist of the month" thing, or is all rage bait bullshit?
Because it IS plausible...
I've never heard it any other way since!
My daughter, when she was aged 7, came up with my favourite one ever: "Dancing Queen, young and sweet, only seven teeth"
Thanks for the video Neil King @fateamagazine.bsky.social
A proper folk song. This is Watergrove Farm from Moorscape (2016) performed at Liverpool's Prohibition Studios and hosted by @liverpoolacoustic.co.uk

Lovely! I took this yesterday afternoon on one of my favourite walks on #dartmoor...
Such a fine system we're all operating in, huh?
It's Bandcamp Friday, when money literally rains down on musicians as billionaires buy whole back catalogues for small fortunes and lift thousands of artists out of poverty, bringing harmony, hope and peace to the beleaguered creative community
Thanks for playing this John!
