An oil painting of a long rural road, leading back into the distance through open countryside, with fields and vegetation on either side. The composition draws your eye toward a far horizon beneath a softly lit luminous sky, creating a sense of depth and quiet solitude. This contemporary landscape painting of the Long Road Home invites personal interpretation.

Abstract painting by Hilma af Klint featuring layered spirals, circles, and organic shapes. The color palette includes warm peach, golden yellow, soft rose, lavender, navy blue, and black. These forms are arranged in a symmetrical and symbolic design that radiates balance and energy. The composition evokes a sense of movement, light, and spiritual meaning, with geometric elements appearing like mandalas or celestial maps. Hilma af Klint, a pioneering abstract artist and mystic, created visionary paintings that predated Kandinsky and Mondrian. Her work is known for blending science, nature, mysticism, and mathematics into deeply intuitive abstract compositions. This particular piece is part of her “The Ten Largest” series, often interpreted as a visual meditation on human life stages, emotional transformation, and inner awareness. The image conveys a quiet, radiant power that continues to influence abstract artists today.

“People will understand me in 100 years.”

There’s something quietly moving about painting with meaning, even if it isn’t fully seen at the time.

Hilma af Klint’s work glows with intuition, structure, and mystery—created ahead of its moment.

A soft, reflective post on a misty sage background with a message about coffee, creativity, and the start of the day—a quiet ritual by an emerging artist sharing original art and inviting viewers into the painting process.

An impressionistic oil painting of a sunlit white barn with a muted green roof, accompanied by several outbuildings nestled among lush greenery. The brushstrokes are loose and expressive, capturing the warmth of the light and movement in the foliage. In the foreground, bright yellow-green plants contrast with the soft white walls of the structures. The background sky is pale with hints of warmth, blending into tree-covered hills. The painting evokes a peaceful rural scene, bathed in soft natural light, emphasizing harmony between nature and architecture.

Honored to be part of ArtAbility, a show that celebrates resilience and creativity. Grateful that two of my paintings found new homes and a third will remain on consignment with the program. #ResilienceThroughArt #Gratitude

An oil painting titled “New Beginning,” featuring symbolic elements: bird’s eggs representing new life, apples symbolizing growth and nourishment, and a severed branch reflecting resilience and transformation. These elements combine to illustrate themes of adaptation, strength, and personal renewal.

A serene landscape painting of white clouds drifting across a bright blue sky over a meadow filled with golden grasses, lavender, and other wildflowers. The scene evokes a peaceful and vibrant atmosphere.

Excited to share that six of my paintings were accepted into the Art Ability Show at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital in Malvern, PA. One has already sold! This show celebrates the creativity of artists with disabilities. Art has been a source of healing and inspiration in my life.

In my case, recovery was nonlinear, as expected. Importantly though, I continued to make gains for years longer than the first 1-2 years my doctor suggested. Don’t lose hope, but also be open to life being different than the way it was before. Good luck!

A vibrant sunset painting featuring a dramatic ocean scene. Warm orange, pink, and yellow hues fill the sky, blending into cooler purples and blues near the horizon. The light shimmers on gentle waves, creating a sense of movement and tranquility. This piece conveys serenity and nature’s power.

Hello, Bluesky! I’m an artist inspired by nature’s beauty. After a traumatic brain injury ended my career as a scientist, art became vital to my recovery. This sunset painting reflects serenity and power.

Amazing creatures. So good at camouflage along the shoreline, yet look like pterodactyls in flight. Fab photo!

And now Dr. Oz. I’m fearful of the loss of the gains we’ve made in fighting viral, and drug-resistant bacterial diseases.
