Please someone ask arteta the opposite question in his next presser...

It's the "and gay" that does it. Exactly how a 50 year old man thinks a 16 year old speaks i.e. like the two airmen in the Armstrong and Miller show

Yep

In answer to the final question yes (in 2021), though player in question was not charged so unsure if he can be named now

Can see him and Romero falling out epically, which would be exceptionally fun to witness

I don't know, surely better from his point of view to be tied into a high paying long term contract that way £ risk all on Spurs?

I think he has a high enough opinion of himself to think he can turn it around. Plus 'waiting around for other jobs in the summer' also not without risk with lots of managers available

When you ask VAR the question "Was this a clear error?" rather than "Was this a penalty?" you are bound to get nonsense like this. Get 2-3 people reviewing, if they agree it is a penalty in a set time give it. Reduces risk subjective decisions get overturned but means definite errors get corrected

I think my issue with that is if 3 independent people review it and agree it is a penalty surely that is proof enough it was an error...

I honestly think if (big if) they are guilty of the worst charges it will be a big points deduction - would have to be given scale and their non-cooperation. My concern is that it will all fall in one season. Which even if it relegates them won't hamstring them moving forward (see Juventus...)

Not sure if they can suggest punishment. My own view is best way to make punishment fit crime would be to cap their spending as if their revenue hadn't risen since they started cheating. So they can only pay the same wage bill as they were in 08. Don't think that's an option in the rules though

Think the correct term is "negotiated settlement"

Not totally sure but I don't think so because they all co-operated with the Premier League so there was no dispute about the facts. City very much gone down the opposite route...

Don't disagree about likely outcome but bear in mind the Premier League aren't in control of City's punishment it is an independent panel

Think it just looks more out of place when others are struggling. If we were free flowing Timber popping up in the box would both be more effective (as harder to track) and look a little less desperate

I think he can be registered in the CL before next round starts. But don't know if someone needs to drop out of squad for that or if there is a deadline that has passed. Presume nwaneri could drop out if needed

Reckon it's 3 at the back, Norgaard Havertz in the middle of midfield, Trossard and Madueke as wing backs, then front 3 of dowman, Jesus and martinelli. Same formation that won us the FA cup way bavk when

I prefer havertz on at the start and gyokeres later when the game is stretched - fitness permitting obviously

Given it involves deliberate and dangerous head contact should be a straight red yet alone a yellow

Is certainly a good chance to change the narrative and get some confidence back quickly. Question is can we take it...

Can't we ban this on the basis I can't think of an innocent reason to cover your mouth when talking to an opponent? Just assume they are saying something bad and send them off

Can we ban players covering their mouths on the pitch? Can't think of an innocent reason to do this when talking to an opponent

Are they too sexist for Qatar now?

It also implies that security service vetting checks rely on people telling the truth. Which seems... unlikely and if it is the case deeply worrying

Worth bearing in mind midfield options slightly limited yesterday due to Rice and Merino being suspended so playing havertz meant Odegaard could have a half off. Thought Havertz combined better with Gyokeres than anyone has all season tbh. Certainly better than Odegaard in 2nd half

Ethan not Semenyo!

Be a shame if they get knocked out and he can't play european games

I don't think they can add to their squad before the last 16?

2 months ago 1 0 1 0

Oh I'd go Norgaard Eze and Odegaard for Kairat. Basically the only 3 available apart from Zubi who needs a rest.

Only other option is to play MLS in midfield which we can't really given defensive injuries.
