The Rush Pepbox is a legendary 1960s British fuzz pedal, originally designed in 1965 by Pepe Rush. It is famously known for being one of the first fuzz units used by The Beatles during the Revolver sessions. Modern Versions & Reissues Today, authentic reissues are handcrafted in England by Pepe’s daughter, Lucy Rush, who uses original schematics, vintage tools, and rare NOS (New Old Stock) germanium transistors.

Pigdog Electric Eye (Tone Bender MKI) germanium fuzz pedal.
Point to point circuit of the MKI. All but one of the components are vintage, with the transistors, in particular, being extremely rare and difficult to obtain in usable condition.
Fuzz of the Day.
Pigdog Electric Eye (Tone Bender MKI). Steve Williams of Pigdog is aldo one of the four chosen guest builders for Macaris Sola Sound fuzz pedals, in particular, the Tone Bender MKI reissues. The Tone Bender MKI was famously used by Mick Ronson throughout his time with David Bowie.

Pigdog Electric Eye fuzz pedal (Tone Bender MKI) on Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars vinyl LP
The one above was a special edition - only a handful made. Macaris now sell them for around £500 - £600 when they actually have them in stock. I’ve not bought any since the prices got outrageous.
Very cool! I bet they were a lot cheaper to buy then than they are now!

25.5”. I love teles - had a fair few different ones over the years. These are my current pair 52 and 72 (+ the TeeByrd) :-
😂 I am biased, but it is a pretty little thing! I’ve played teles since I first picked up a guitar nearly 40 years ago so don’t mind how ugly they are 😂
Cheers matey! Fralin bridge single and a TV Jones filtertron humbucker neck 👍🏻
Thanks man 👍🏻

Dean Electronic Devices Zonk II (Silicon)
Dean Electronic Devices Zonk II. Based on the second version of the John Hornby Skewes Zonk Machine, which replaced the 3 Germanium transistors for 2 Silicon units. The sound differed from the smooth, trebly Tone Bender type gain structure of the Zonk MKI with a broken, heavily gated distortion. The Dean Electronic Devices Zonk II has a bias fitted, allowing the gating to be dialled in or out for a range of tones.
New Pedal Day. Made to order so had to wait a few weeks. Definitely worth the wait!
