Definitely the right move to abolish NHS England. It was madness to set it up in the first place IMO. However, difficult times for those in the middle of it.

Our chief executive @confedmatt.bsky.social told the BBC the announcement to abolish of NHS England was unexpected, but is the 'logical next step' of a sequence that started when Wes Streeting said he wanted NHSE and DHSC to work as a single team.

Social care news today isn't a surprise. Labour has long signalled social care was not a priority. Before the election it was clear it was for the back end of the Parliament and into next election.

But it doesn't match the strategy on NHS & moving care to the community. This will all be harder now.
