Yours are smarter than mine. I promised them snacks and they were appeased.
Posts by Finn @ fun sewing
I've taught my clones how to sew and 3D model. None of my cosplays are made by Finn Prime anymore, I just wear them.
I'm considering ignoring the bright blue highlights that you see in the 1st two photos and simply going with a dark blue and then dying wefts the neon/dodger blue and adding them to the back. Those are all skills I've done before so I'm decently comfortable with that ๐ค
Hello beloved hive mind that I trust because I've curated my feed...Wigs are not my forte and have a tough one coming up so real talk - thoughts on how to achieve Will Serfort's wig?
If my toes are this cold I should at least be able to go to the Garment District ๐ซ
if my cat could speak
Because I spent 3ish weeks in Indiana all I could do was model but since I've been back this is the printing I've done!
Here's references for all the pieces
Gaming Build Thread! I plan on doing Gaming, Man Chai as a puppet, and his Lion head. It's gonna be a long process so strap in!
Imma be real it's gonna take another pandemic to get me on rednote or whatever it is
I made a mockup of the grey wrap, dyed some fur to grey and wa la.
Earrings resin cast by me and the Zonai hand that I added nails to and created the gold wrap from foam.
The necklace with resin cast rock gems and beads that match the headdress just in brown and again the main piece is modeled by elegant feather duster
The head dress modeled by @elegantfeather.bsky.social and then again printed & finished by me. The gems are resin cast by me!
Leather/belt pieces! Real veg tan leather that I dyed and the zonai battery charge that @illustrismodels.bsky.social modeled but I printed/finished
The tabard! More hand embroidery and the triangles at the bottom are attached to grommets that I sewed over so they blend in.
Oops paused for dinner. They attach to the wig with magnets!
Then i painted them!
I then covered them in clay foam and used a plastic knife to carve lines into it!
Horns pt 1 - I carved them from floral foam and then smoothed them down with a hot foam cutter.
Both sleeves on and I draped the brown tunic. Apparently the spirit of cosplay took me over because I missed??? Documenting any of the brow tunic.
Beads~~~
Bead work bead work!
Just some nice detail shots on the black tunic. The collar is actually French seamed on
More embroidery but on the upper sleeve!
This was the 3rd take on these cuffs lmao first I did triforces, then I did it upside down...third time the charm I guess.
Mock up for the black tunic that is the base. When I made this mock up I was thinking about doing lights but either way it became a nice template.
More 3D modeling for the tabard
I began with learning how to 3D model for this build, starting with the bead for the head dress.
Oh because I'm almost done (and the build book submitted), here's a build thread for the Ember Armor ๐งต
