For me, ride-share isn’t a luxury. A $1 tax would make it one. | Opinion I understand the city needs revenue. I understand public transit needs funding. But layering increases across every mode of transportation at the same time doesn’t feel like a solution.

We are in the unfiltered cigarette, leaded gasoline, radium paint phase of AI. You know, the part where we let companies kill people for a while until the numbers get big enough that we decide to regulate it.

I'm not joking when I say mRNA technology is more important than "AI" and it's a tragedy we're throwing billions into one while our government is aggressively defunding the other.

Critical Atlantic current significantly more likely to collapse than thought Scientists say finding is ‘very concerning’ as collapse would be catastrophic for Europe, Africa and the Americas

The Amoc is a major part of the global climate system and is close to the tipping point of collapse.

This is the biggest news of the year if not the decade.

NYC parents tell Mayor Mamdani: ‘Slow your horses’ on AI in the classroom The protesters delivered a petition with more than 2,200 signatures to the Mamdani administration, citing the risks of generative AI to children.

Was great to come out for this to represent as a teacher and incoming parent. Hoping Mamdani and his team support this idea—one that is overwhelmingly supported by parent leaders and communities here in the city.

I would really appreciate a timeline that does not have me out here wanting to defend the *Catholic Church* or the *tradition of Catholicism* on a semi-regular basis. That being said, liberation theology has always slapped, send tweet.

I’m at PA’s capitol for tax day.

PA has 23 billionaires. Since Trump’s last election, their wealth has grown by $32.6 billion (24.3%).

PA, we could have better healthcare, childcare, we could have roads that dont make it pothole-clear when you’ve entered our state, if we fairly taxed the richest.

Student yesterday (who wants to be a welder) asked how much I think they’ll actually remember and use content from their classes after graduation. I said “probably very little, but that’s not the point. School is exercise for your brain.”

The degradation of society:
1. Celebrating the k!lling of a CEO
2. Cheering on warehouse arsons
3. Making heroes out of people who attempt political violence
You can be outraged at the system and still not glorify violence. These aren't wins. This is a society losing its moral compass.
[Coming from a liberal btw]

I don’t know how people keep forgetting that workers rights were entirely written in blood and the capital class had to be threatened with violence before they agreed to things like 8 hour working days and 2 day weekends.
