In reality, Piers wasn’t used to he being looked up to. In the past, Chris had been his role model and Claire was no one to laugh at either.

Compares to the legend that was the Redfields, he was really just a guy with a gun.

Her knowledge was quite impressive for a child. Emily, as it was, took a lot after Grace. Even though Piers didn’t know their relationship, he could at least see the resemblance.

He rubbed the back of his neck nervously as he cleared his throat. Civilian life was a hard and difficult change for him, especially since all his life he only knew fighting.

The grip of the plan pulled Piers back into a serious mood; a contrast to his introductions before.

“Yeah, that’s me. She didn’t know how to go down the slide so… had to show her. She’s getting better at runnin’ around too.”

The woman in front of him was… well. Shorter than expected.

“ 𝕎𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕒𝕟 eyepatch sucks… not only do you not have depth perception, but now you can’t even see the bullets if they fall out of the clip. Thank god for mags… “

“I’m looking for a specific cure to a strain of something called the C-Virus. We have some antibodies, but I heard there was some science heads here that had some newer strain. Figured we could use it to improve the existing vaccine.”

And, maybe, to cure Piers. It had been a while since the virus +

“Great. Follow me. I’m here to investigate a lab. I’m … looking for something specific in there. A kind of anti-viral.”

Piers didn’t elaborate but only squeezed his own fist under his glove. Chris didn’t even know he was here, but it was all for the sake of the BSAA. +

The soldier went to open his phone, considering the financial options. He himself hadn’t been a real book nerd when he was younger; more of a comic book guy. Being forced to grow up so fast, he never really had time to explore his own interests.

“Hmm. This one is about space.”

“ 𝕆𝕙 𝕨𝕒𝕚𝕥, “ Piers paused. “She does like reading. She’s been with sensitive eyes since the surgery, but I know she enjoys braille…”

He began to wonder about it.

“… hmm. I guess I could get a book or something. What do… girls like, you think?”

He never really knew much except from Merah…

ℍ𝕖’𝕤 𝕡𝕣𝕠𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕕 𝕦𝕡 on a table, cleaning his rifle. It didn’t need maintenance as often as most he carried, but when it does, it takes time.

The scope is the hardest part, especially since a single smudge could make or break a shot. How he managed to get that much gunk on it, he didn’t know.
