I wanted an easy way to create custom, printable table tents with qr codes to put on tables at my events. Since I couldn't find a good solution for it, I made my own.
If you too need table tents for your events, they're now easy and free to make.

I think software subscriptions is a fantastic incentive to replace everything with opensource
the Citizens United Court case decision is why the US doesn't have universal health care. Insurance companies are allowed to spend infinite money to lobby against universal healthcare because "money is speech"
I can, but depending on what you're trying to achieve we might be able to manage avoiding it.
I heard about bump mesh a couple days ago, and I'm not sure when I would need to add textures to my 3d prints but l'm definitely going to tuck it away for when I need it bumpmesh.com

I love the name. do you have a link handy?
I've heard of people building chat bots for medical diagnosis that haven't heard of the term hallucination
I do really appreciate how you're targeting primitives though. I've been writing almost exclusively solidjs since 2024, and I think the idea and the direction is the correct abstraction and the right idea moving forward

they’re foundational, just as critical as sync or data locality.
it’s a political and social stance. It’s about shifting control: from remote servers and top-down central authorities deciding how data, workflows, and communities operate, to individuals and communities reclaiming that control and gaining autonomy. Seen this way, privacy and consent aren’t add-ons
For me, ‘local-first’ isn’t just a technical architecture
@meri.garden Wanted to let you know I that after finding you and reading one of your articles recently, this quote from you have been living in my head rent free for months.

Does anyone else have this problem? I’m more interested in how people think about it than in a specific app recommendation.
Many of these tasks belong exactly where they are (especially repo issues, since each repo has its own collaborators and visibility), but it’s getting hard to maintain a personal, unified view of what I actually need to work on.
I’m noticing that my todo system has kind of exploded across tools: GitHub issues in different repos, markdown files in multiple accounts, Google Keep, Todoist, Notion, and some custom apps.
That's awesome, I'm going to have to try that in my CSS library. Would drastically simplify the variable juggling
Are you able to use the same colors for light and dark that way?

Liveframe just leveled up: enterprise users can now post videos! 🎬
Had to wrangle autoplay + fades on the live wall… and during testing, someone dropped a Taylor Swift clip that almost crashed the site 😂🔥
