Activism is inherently a very negative thing since you are exposed to the deep injustices and inequalities of the world constantly. But to keep going, you also need community, not everything is going to be a talk or reading group on some serious serious issue
Game workers do not receive any residuals/royalties on shipped titles and shipping bonuses are increasingly rare. There's also no guarantee that your name will even be in the credits if you leave before ship, and studios will use this to keep you compliant.
All of this can and should change.
