Thanks for the advice. Thats how we started. Consistent routine for me leaving, give him a high value treat before closing the door. And only giving him another upon my return if no barking. Keeping it all low key if there was barking.
Progress made. Started separation anxiety training Sunday with 30 second increments. Hardly made it to 30 sec without barking,and ended with 3 minutes and only mild whining(plenty of high value treats given).One thundershirt and several days later we made it to 5 and 10 minutes.Bravo Ollie!
