Applicants must be international researchers working and residing outside of Canada; this includes expatriates wishing to return to Canada.

One of the key strategic priority areas is environment, climate resilience, and the Arctic.

Please see the announcement above for further details. 3/3

CIRC holders will receive one of two award values:

$8 million over eight years ($1 million per year); or
$4 million over eight years ($500,000 per year)

depending on research costs/needs. There is also the potential for a four-year extension at a rate of 50% of the initial award value. 2/3

Démantèlement du NCAR : une déclaration importante de la direction du CNRS-INSU

NCAR’s Mesa Lab is literally a science castle dedicated to understanding our planet in an open and collaborative way, and leading the world in that effort. We cannot let this happen.

NCAR is a unique & valuable asset - far more than a climate model, or observations, or technology, or training ground, or gathering space. It covers weather, space weather, data, climate, paleo-climate, and everything in-between. It's building is an icon, but it's iconic status goes far beyond that.

Trump moves to dismantle major US climate research center in Colorado The Trump administration is breaking up the National Center for Atmospheric Research, taking aim at one of the world's leading climate research labs.

The beautiful idea of NCAR, to improve understanding of our planet through a cooperative, shared and open intellectual team effort, is literally what has got me out of bed every morning for nearly two decades. This cannot, CANNOT be allowed to happen.

I'm biased I guess but IMO an awesome review of DA and ML methods for parameter estimation in land surface models, a brief history (we couldn't fit everything in!), plus remaining challenges and potential solutions. Hopefully especially useful for ECRs new to the field! 2/2

Reviewers | AGU AGU's volunteer reviewers help advance the Earth and space sciences and maintain the integrity and accountability of the scientific record. Become a reviewer.

ICYMI: AGU now has a reviewer interest form that you can fill out here: www.agu.org/publications.... Please share widely with anyone you think may be interested in reviewing for AGU journals. As we all know it is becoming harder and harder to find reviewers these days!
