We took him to our hearts, imagined him a future captain, but for him it was just a job, a transactional relationship, a contract to walk away from when it suited, so fuck him. Not the sort we want in our football club #lufc

That said, with Chelsea under new management, albeit a stopgap most probably, they might be a bit better than recent weeks. I'm an optimistic fella, I think we can win, but I fear we'll lose #lufc
I think we got lucky yesterday, but we've been unlucky in the first half of the season a few times, so this is the evening out of said luck. Bodes well for Sunday #lufc
I knew I should have watched the snooker #lufc
Isn't that what managers always do?
Probably better than signing Brian Relegation.
It was good enough for the job of escaping from the confines of a garage containing nothing but welding tools and tank parts - no easy task.
She has to go for it, but she's flogging the wrong horse. She should go harder on Doyle in my opinion, that shoddy croneyism is what most rankles with Labour MPs.
Yes, appointing a twice-fired ex-Minister with close links to Epstein and a long list of dodgy Russian business contacts is perhaps a tad unorthodox for a senior diplomatic posting.
If he stopped faking injury and running the ref maybe he'd make the Ballon d'Or top three, as it is, he's an example of exactly what we don't want in football.
To be fair, it sounds like Robbins could have done more to find out specifics about Mandelson's security clearance, & could have shared more with the FS & PM about the outcome, so some criticism does seem fair, but the main culprit seems to be Starmer for jumping the gun on an unorthodox appointment
It's an odd one. Robbins gets fired for following the normal process under abnormal circumstances. Starmer appears to have told the truth, but created the problem through his trademark clumsy politics & poor judgement. Mandelson, at least in his role as Ambassador, appears to have done nothing wrong
Sir Olly Robbins in parliamentary committee - not a great day for Sir Keir
It's looking like we're going to need a bielection in Greater Manchester very soon indeed.
I'm always in the fuck-it-go-for-all-three-points territory. Always. #lufc
My guess is that if Hammers go down, Summerville will go to Newcastle (or overseas) and Bowen to Man U. No information, this is pure guesswork.
That would seem to be the sensible thing to do - and to copy in the Foreign Sec
Agree, and I expect he'd think himself too big for us now and look to Liverpool or (maybe more likely) Newcastle
It seems unlikely it was faked. To shoot live rounds into a crowd, so close to someone's head, doesn't sound like fakery to me, that would take more courage (and more depravity) than Trump has. More likely his ear was barely grazed and he exaggerated the injury.
Yes, that is my hope, we usually do well when teams try to play football.
Fair point, although I thought that was more about Farke's orders to sit deep and play risk-averse Farke-ball rather than player performances.
I fear we are going to stutter against Bournemouth with a tired team and one eye on Wembley ... but not sure who I'd drop given everyone is playing so well. Maybe Gnonto in for Aaronson? (more likely Gruev) #lufc
Thank you, I needed that #lufc
I doubt they'll succeed, but one can but dream.
Tottingham wanted to join the Super League, well The Championship is a super league, they'll love it.
If Aaronson gently shoved me in the back I'm sure I'd even notice, let alone get concussion.
Let's hope they improve enough to get something out the Spurz game
After a glorious first 20 mins, the rest was pretty painful, and I am not keen on being a risk-averse team that gets the job done, I watch footie for entertainment, not just results - I'm being idealistic, I know, but I don't want us to be like every other club #lufc
Rutter is Leeds, and so is Gray #lufc
What was their argument? That the rules shouldn't apply to Man Utd? That hair-pulling is an important part of the game? That he didn't really pull it he was just falling and innocently grabbed at the nearest thing, which happened to be someone's hair, but by golly he didn't mean it?
