I was in Pets at Home yesterday. Picking up the pooch from the vet but and saw the most devastating thing.
The candle in reception was lit.
I almost lost it right there.

It's like a drunkard's camelbak. (also, a good name for a band)
And some kind of scoop, presumably. Or perhaps a slotted spoon.
Just stand him in a field and get him to give a speech. Those crops would grow overnight.
The squelch heard around the world.
Also, can the first thing we see NOT be a store front like all Ubisoft "games". I bought the game, at least let me try it before you try to upsell me on digital clothes I will never see in my fps.
Can we make games playable even if we don't want to link our player account to whatever third party company wants to scrape and sell our information? I'm looking at you Vampire Blood Hunt and TDU Solar Crown. Download, boot, see that, uninstall.
Streaming's great and all that but I'm going back to physical media. It was easy to hook up to watch Men at Work for the first time in forever. As @geoffreyblakeactor.bsky.social would say "I followed the instructions". (that line read is forever etched into my brain)
No more caffeine for that man
Brilliant. It makes it look look a science show for kids tv.
This is start up screen for Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown. A game you cannot play unless you create an account with Nacon despite already being logged in with your PSN profile. You cannot skip this.
Oh. Then no. This game spent more time being downloaded than being played. I literally pressed 3 buttons before I deleted it.
I hate it when games do this. Give us your data so we at @nacon.bsky.social spam you or you can't play. So glad I didn't actually buy this.
Ooh, new games in the pan library.
Might give this Test Drive Solar Crown a look.....
Urgh, you do wees? Urrrrrrggggh

I wonder what Badger Girl is up to these days.
There's a lot of Admiral Ackbar gifs on here saying it's a trap but my Mrs would do exactly this and has done in the past. Not this exact scenario of course but She can appreciate something nice and knows I can too. It's innocent, meaningless fun for a moment then we move on.
To be fair, watching paint dry would be time better spent.
Danny John Jules in the show Red Dwarf. This still is from the final scene of the episode 'Backwards' in which the boys from the dwarf go through a time hole and end up back on earth only to find they're in a universe where time runs backwards. His expression is in response to finding out an overlooked detail of life in a backwards universe.
I was in B&M earlier today and they were playing Christmas music. I use the word music in its absolute loosest terms. It sounded like either the most formulaic, royalty free crap or terrible AI slop. Either way, it was awful.
Can you imagine how his dirty talk would sound? Not the words, the sound.
It's clearly a still from the music video for 'Barbie Girl' and that is obviously Aqua.
"hey, I'm all slippery over here"
Started in the 60s. Still going in one form or another. Apparently, it's quite popular.
I'm running low on tapes.
You'd need a teeny tiny stool.
I can't wait. Looking forward to looking like I've been interrupted while being shaved.
Maybe but at that point isn't he off doing the transparent aluminium bit?
My concentration may have slipped, I need to check.
Maybe @georgetakei.bsky.social might know. He's a cool, handsome guy with tremendous dress sense who knows a lot of stuff.
So, I've been having a bit of a watch of the og star trek films. Just watching The Voyage Home and something occurred to me. When Kirk and the whale lady drop Spock off in the park and then go off to lunch...who beams him up? There's nobody on the ship.
L-R Sulu, McCoy, Scotty and Chekhov on the bridge of the stolen Enterprise. Scott is wearing uniform whereas the others are in civilian attire. Sulu is wearing a somewhat traditional Japanese style suit and looking very dapper. McCoy is wearing what looks like a space rancher's outfit and for some reason Chekhov has decided to dress as a public schoolboy from the Victorian era who died under mysterious and tragic circumstances.
@steveshives.bsky.social I've been mainlining your Trek Actually and Retro Reviews, it makes excellent background when I'm playing a bit of No Man's Sky so I thought I'd give the films another go.
I'm on Search for Spock and I have to ask, why is Chekhov dressed like a Victorian ghost?
